Had a breakup with longtime stylist and 'are looking for a new one who can deal with the hair of we "over 50's."
Should be experienced in working with fine, thinning hair and, especially, covering grey by use of highlighting. No harsh chemicals please.

I've been a lifelong sidesleeper. My preferred hand position is with my hands curled up under my chin. For a while now, I'm being woken up by the pins and needles sensation in my hand (the shoulder side down hand) as it's asleep. I'm trying to figure out where else to put my hands while I sleep. I've always wondered how cartoonist create their strips. But I've started to notice that many of them choose simple body shapes and repeat expressions or only use a few settings or locations. Where can I read a straightforward explanation about the how and why of the creative process for making cartoons?

I found this
photo on a blog a few months ago.
I have been looking for a larger higher quality version and or the name of the photographer to find out if I can purchase a print.
This is what I know.
It is from West Side Story
It appears a number of times on the internet, all small pixel sizes
The photographer is NOT Ernest Hass or Phil Stern (the two photographers who were present taking photos at some stage on the production of Westside Story)
Thanks, this one baffles me. When I have time I will go to the Motion Picture Academy Library (I live in Los Angeles) and see if I can find out anything more, but until then I thought I would let Mefi rip on it!)

YANMFD... I have a friend who, on Thursday, experienced sharp pains in his left side--he described the location as, "About an inch inside, directly aligned with my underarm". He felt it about 15 times over the course of the day and said it was "sharp and sudden" and caused him to wince and bend over. The next day, he woke up and there was blood in his right eye--not bloodshot, but blood, like a pool. It went away over the course of the day.
He insists these things are not related and won't go to the doctor. As a result, I'm worried. Could these things be connected and what could they be? He's 44. [more inside]

Where does this phrase come from? "On the wrong side of square law" is a science aphorism for a situation in which efforts must be increased at an exponential rate to achieve only modest returns. Does it have a specific origin or source?

I have been trying to deal with the shadows, or dark reality, of life: sex-trafficking, war crimes, war rape, rape, hatred, familial abuse, child pornography; even the "lighter" shadows of infidelity, corruption (of the 3rd World and 1st World), hard drug use and dealing of financial elites, etc.; and perhaps maybe even more importantly: the lack of public-moral outrage that would seek to eradicate such an infestation (strong words, sure - I don't mean to imply I want a 21st century witch hunt). I was prescribed Singulair for seasona allergies. After taking for a couple of months, I started having anxiety and panic attacks. I stopped taking it almost 3 weeks ago and the symptoms have diminished greatly but not completely. Has anyone else had an experience with this? I'd like to know how long it will take for the sure effects to completely go away.

After 3 weeks on 75 mg of zoloft (previously was on 50 mg) the side effects are helping with my intense anxiety. In fact, I'm pretty apathetic. I'm also having difficulty sleeping and then difficulty waking up, to the point that I slept well into the afternoon today (very unusual for me). I find myself clenching my jaw and rather jittery. And I feel strangely separated from reality, as if I'm in a fog. As hard as it is to fall asleep I feel like I'm fighting sleep all day. Has anyone experienced these symptoms but stayed on the medication and found that they were able to stabilize?

I've been having some fun ones, and I want to make sure everything is fine. I'd also like to find out what might help me feel a little bit better. [more inside]

Someone close to me will be undergoing an abortion in about a week. My role will be to support her during and afterward. We don't know yet whether it will be the medical (plan B pill) or surgical procedure. What kind of physical and emotional side effects can we expect to deal with? Can anyone who has gone through this offer advice or wisdom? The patient is 18 years old, athletic, and otherwise in good health.

In heterosexual relationships, is there a side of the bed that men normally sleep on? Is there any kind of tradition behind it? Like, if you're standing at the foot of the bed looking at the pillows, are men supposed to sleep on the left or right side? My dad always slept on the left side. And myself, with my last girlfriend, I also slept on the left side. Am I unconsciously re-enacting some kind of old tradition as to what side I'm supposed to sleep on? [more inside]

Do you know any car which has the capability of horizontal move to achieve side parking when both of car length and parking area length are almost equal (i mean there is no space to parking maneuver)? Do you believe a car with this skill can improve your parking opportunities? And most importantly, is such a car suitable for mass production and feasible?I will be glad if you can share your detailed ideas with some source -if possible- for my mini research project. I am actually interested in the technical aspect of the matter.

I've got friends from Bloomington, Indiana driving up to Chicago to visit for a few days. They were going to take the Amtrak out of Indianapolis, but the schedule is extremely inconvenient. I'm thinking they should drive up and try and park near a Metra or CTA station on the south side of Chicago, and take public transportation into the city. Any suggestions on what would be the best station to pick?
