I play bass guitar. I'm not bad at it. In fact, I'm quite good. How do I get auditions to start playing for touring musicals and the like? (and do I stand a chance?) [more inside]

I am a professional spokesmodel trying to get into the 2009 autoshow circuit. I know that some of the major autos show spokesmodels come from either Productions-Plus or Gail and Rice, but does anyone know the best way to get an audition with these companies? Any info would GREATLY be appreciated. The season starts soon!

Can you recommend a good live-but-recorded upbeat Broadway performance in the style of MTV's Legally Blonde or the London Oklahoma with Hugh Jackman a few years back? I'm not looking for a Hairspray Movie (though I loved it) but rather recordings of shows performed as shows, not as movies. Thanks!

Why is there never anything good on TV? More specifically, why is there not a movie channel that shows 3, 4, and 5 star movies 24-7? I have HBO, Showtime, Starz, etc. etc. and most of the time all of the movies are shiite. How hard is it to look at movie reviews from the past 40 years and pick out what to show? Is there some type of market / economic factors that I am not considering here? Is HBO bound to certain studios? What is going on here?

I recently bought a zune and i am looking for pictures that are semi information or thoughtful. i recently quite a few photo selection on it and play music with it. Some of the stuff i like is Dali Art, Betty Page pinup, Optical Illusians and Post secrets. i am trying to find some more photos that are either information like pictures of shots that have to the side how to make them or pictures that are thought provoking maybe some religous art. I was hoping the Hive mind could steer me into jpeg slideshow that would be interesting to put on my zune and where to find them either eduction or inspirationial not really into people falling off ladders and stuff.

I might have scammed my way onto local radio with the promise of a show dedicated to musical acts whose careers have been of a decent length, but who haven't lost their touch (e.g. Nick Cave will be in, Morrissey won't) - or those acts who've noticeably improved with time (I think Beethoven's the best example, but classical music won't be getting a run). Any ideas to fill three four-hour shows?

My wife and I will be in Vegas next week (for a conference). We've been there before and done the casino/gambling thing, which we're not really into. What else is there to do? Note: we won't have a car (but we can take taxis as long as we don't run up a zillion dollars in fares). Also, we're smart enough to find out what shows are playing. We're more interested in stuff that isn't obvious.

I'm about to head off to London and I want to see some good, serious theatre. I'm VERY careful about what I see (theatre being expensive), and I like to read many reviews first. Instead of buying 30 newspapers and magazines, is there a site somewhere that collects or links to multiple reviews of each current show?
PS. I'm really looking for reviews, but if you want to recommend a specific show, please note that I prefer classics to modern plays. And I really like classics when they're done withOUT any obvious conceptual twist (i.e. I DON'T want to see "Hamlet" set on the moon.)
