You like the design of your shower head. Why?

I'm looking to get a new shower head as ours is broken. Literally just the head, the kind that screws onto the end of a hose and is clipped to the wall above a bath. But there are so many different kinds I'm kind of losing my mind here. [more inside]

Which way do you face in the shower?

I was astonished to find out this morning that my wife faces the showerhead when taking a shower. I face away from the showerhead and assumed everyone did the same. She says that most people face the showerhead and I'm the unusual one. [more inside]

Fast moving water is best

So, apparently some manufactorers make it so that you can easily remove the flow restrictor from a lot of shower heads, increasing the flow so that it has good pressure.... Uh, which ones? Our current showerhead looks god awful but my husband won't let me replace it unless I ensure it will be as high pressure as our current crap one. [more inside]

Looking for a high pressure shower head

Hi, I'm looking for recommendations on a high pressure shower head under $30. Not looking for anything fancy, just want something that would wash away the soap as quickly as possible so I don't have to spend 30 minutes in the shower. I saw this online and it looks promising (if it works like they show in the video) I'm ok with buying in store (Home Depot, Menards, ACE hardware, walmart, bed bath n beyond, sears) or buying it online. Thanks.

Upgrading my shower head and shower curtain rod

My shower (in a rental apartment) needs help in two ways. 1) I need to find a way to get the curtain farther out, with the complicating factor that the curtain is on an L-shaped rod (similar to this one). 2) My shower head puts out a piddly amount of water. I need one that will actually use the full water pressure available, and which is on a hose. Mefites, what do you recommend? [more inside]

How to replace a shower head without actually replacing it?

I just moved into a new apartment. The shower head looks like this. I am not used to using this kind of shower head, as I always had the kind with a long hose. I hate this shower head because it sprays water on me constantly when I shave my legs. Anyway, I want a long hose, but the apartment has very strict rules about replacing the shower head. They even do periodic check-ins to make sure it hasn't been replaced! So, is there any sort of product that I could just fit over the current shower head without doing any actual replacing of it?
