I love relaxing in a tub after a long day's work. Problem is, my apartment has only a shower! Can you help me find a tub-substitute (that doesn't involve going to icky public baths) please?

Where should we host a bridal shower in Seattle? We're looking for a cool private room in a restaurant, or a neat suite in a hotel, or a cool patio - it's the weekend of August 4th so all of the boats are booked for SeaFair.

My significant other has, over the last few years, taken fewer and fewer showers. She now takes about one per week (yes I keep tabs). I don't notice any smells although her hair can get that needs-washing look. [more inside]

I have a four-handled shower/bath (hot/cold for shower head, hot/cold for bath faucet) that decides to start leaking about every 6 months. It's driving me batty, and is possibly contributing to my now luke-warm winter showers. No fun in chilly NYC. (pic inside)

Because the bottom of my fiberglass shower is totally flat, the water doesn't drain down and so mildew builds up at triple the frequency. Short of replacing the shower, how can I create the effect of a downsloping shower floor?

My boyfriend and I like to fool around in the shower. His favorite thing to do is to cum on my chest or my face, which I don't mind, because, hey, we're in the shower. However, actually washing the cum off me is hard. It becomes sticky and almost stringy (it's glued my eyelashes together before), and pretty water resistant. Regular soap doesn't seem to get it off. I keep baking soda in the shower and use it as an exfoliant, but it still takes 3 or 4 scrubbings to get it all off. Any spots I miss become dry, scaly patches once I towel off. Any solutions, either product or method, for how to remove cum in the shower?

If my wife hosts a baby shower, fairly large (30+ people) for her friend (with all the expense, labour and effort that requires) would she still be expected to give a present to her friend on top of this?

My wife is hosting a baby shower for a mother-to-be that wants 50 people to be invited (she's even providing the list). But I have heard that here in Toronto, you need to have a permit for private gatherings of more than 25 where alcohol will be served. We can't find any detailed information on this though.
Anyone know where to look, or know the answer?

It just occurred to me that the spot on your scalp that receives the focus of the force of the water in a shower coincides with the spot where hair loss in MPB first appears? Is this just a coincidence?

This weekend my husband and I are planning on re-doing the guest bathroom. The house is run-of-the-mill American wood-construction, built in 1985. The shower fixtures seem to be "original equiptment," as it were, and look bad enough that I'd like to replace them. The shower is fiberglass and there is no "acecss panel" to get to the inner workings of the shower. How do we replace the knobs, spigot, drain, and shower head/neck with the least hoopla?

I'm looking for one of two things: 1. A shower mirror that actually doesn't fog up, ever (without in-line installation or electrical installation), or 2. An anti-fogging spray that works well on, say, cheapy suction mirrors without giving me, say, lead poisoning over the course of a year or something. Any suggestions?

One of the features of Buckminster Fuller's
Dymaxion Bathroom was a
fog gun shower. It was supposed to spray atomized water at high pressure, over 200 psi, and get you clean with less than a cup of water. Would this work? Has this ever been made?

Plumbing question - you have a bath tub, free standing, with no shower; no switch to change between the water coming of the faucet vs from a shower head, and no shower curtain or support for such. How much (and what) would the parts be to add shower functionality? Is this a job that you could do by yourself?

For you home improvement types - we moved into our first house last July, and since then I've been battling some mold in the shower. It's not bad, but despite my attempts to banish it, the critters keep coming back - right at the seam where the shower wall meets the tub.
Will simply recaulking the seam fix it, or will it eventually come back through the new caulk as well? Any, ahem, natural remedies for ridding our shower of the stuff?
