Should I return these items from Urban Outfitters like the store has requested and pay $60 for postage or keep the items?
As I see it they've helped me out by sending another lot of the same items since the parcel appeared to be lost in the post, but what it boils down to is that I - the customer - will have to pay extra because my parcel took longer to arrive to expected. [more inside]

Complete Parmesan cheeses in Milan, bicycle wheel sized paella pans in Barcelona...what are some other products considered everyday enough to be stocked in a particular country or region's supermarkets - yet which would be considered very unusual elsewhere?

Have any of you purchased ThinkGeek's Bag of Holding messenger bag
? It seems perfect for me (huge capacity, neutral color, numerous pockets, ever-so-slightly geeky) but so many Amazon reviews mention that the zippers break or come apart easily. If not, do you have recommendations for a similar bag? [more inside]

I'm going to be in Seoul next week with my husband and my parents. My parents are Korean and will probably take the helm for showing us around and feeding us, but I'd like some suggestions for things that they wouldn't necessarily now much about, mainly: nightlife and shopping. [more inside]

I ordered this item
from Amazon.com last month and when I ordered it, I noticed that the shipping date was September 28-October 29. That seemed a little weird so I contact Amazon and the rep just confused me more. Do you know the inner workings of Amazon? Can you explain this to me? [more inside]

I'm working on a project in China at the moment aimed at getting luxury European and North American brands to install themselves at a new five-star hotel and luxury shopping plaza in one of China's many rapidly growing second-tier cities. The location is excellent and the nimiety of demand and feasibility studies we have conducted show this clearly. We need to convince key decision makers not only in Paris, Milan, London and New York but also here in Shanghai. But how to contact the right people? [more inside]

I need to furnish a house for myself, my wife and two small kids. We have zero furniture right now. We will only be in this house for a year until we eventually buy a house. Without knowing the space that we will eventually end up in, I am not sure if I should make big investments in couches, entertainment centers, etc. I need to do this as quickly as possible. Should I buy what I really want or should I just buy cheap stuff for now? Either way, what's the easiest way to do this without running around like a mad man? I am going to have to pull this off without any help. Should I just walk into Ikea with a shopping list? Can I have all of this stuff delivered? We are in Austin if it matters.

Where would you buy a waistcoat (you know, like the vest part of a three piece suit) in Chicago? I know that All Saints has two in the fall line, but they (like the department
stores) are both
. Guy is looking for something a little more exciting, maybe with matching pants. I don't want the responsibility of sewing it myself (and pants are definitely beyond me, anyway). Custom is probably okay; online is okay; custom on-line is not preferred. He will not have the patience for going through vintage or consignment shops.

For all its niceties, the downside of internet shopping is that its sometimes hard to just find an actual store that has what you want. I want a straw hat for the beach this week (yay vacation!), and want to find the store in NYC has the best in-store selection. I am a guy.
I need to try them on, because my face and head are unforgiving of hat's that just don't work. I'm not even sure of the exact style will fit me best. I can look real bad or totally ok easily.
Would like to spend under $100... where should I look, fine folks?

I've ordered some plastic parts from someone in Australia; what is a standard receipt form he could fill out — online to PDF or otherwise? It's a small private transaction, so VAT doesn't play into it, but I do need a receipt for my project accountant.

Planning a birthday present for my daughter, who will be 5 soon. She's been interested in guitars, and I'd love to get her one to mess around on. Ideally it would be small, not too expensive, but good enough to feel 'real'. I don't know much about guitars. What's a good one to buy? Is there an online outlet for such things you would recommend?
