I live in the Bay Area and often find myself wanting things, especially delicious location-specific foods, from stores in other cities that don't offer e-commerce and/or won't ship to me. (Example, example, example.) I want to pay someone --companies, individuals, I don't care-- to buy the things, pack them up, and ship them to me. This seems like it'd be a fairly common need/want, so someone must have set up a business offering it, right..?
For Christmas this year I would love to give my family food-of-the-month type gifts from places like Murrays and Zingermans, but those places don't deliver to Canada, where most of my family members live. Can you recommend really great subscription/gift food that's either Canada-based, or delivers to Canada? [more inside]
I want chocolates from a specific shop in Paris delivered to the US: please help me figure out how to do it.
I want to order from a chocolate shop in Paris, Jacques Genin, and have it shipped to the United States. But, Jacques Genin doesn't seem to even have a website, let alone online ordering. Is there a service I can use to buy and ship the products for me? [more inside]
Where can I see a Dell Adamo (not the new XPS, but the one that was released last year) in person, in the San Francisco Bay Area? Frys doesn't seem to carry it, and I don't know who else would. I'm considering buying one, and want to handle it and check out the keyboard, weight, etc., in person, before making a decision. Thanks for any help you can provide :-)
