I'm going to be up in Vancouver this weekend and want to shop for a new spring coat. Something trenchcoat style but not in black or beige - cool colors or prints/patterns would be better. Size 12 or M/L, between $100 and $200. The style constraints are that it should not be teenagery but not dowdy either - I like classic cuts but trendy colors and patterns. I already plan to check out The Bay.
I am looking for the following things and have not been able to find them through the major vendors where I usually buy clothes (Nordstrom, Eddie Bauer, Loft, Banana Republic, and the like). I'd appreciate tips to vendors either major or indie in the US where I could find them. (1) Women's spring-weight trenchcoat in a patterned fabric (houndstooth, plaid, graphic print, floral), $75-$175, size 12/M/L. (2) Women's/unisex hoodie with an argyle pattern, decent build quality, size M/L.
Misterben is seeking good-quality warm men's pajamas. LL Bean is excluded since the quality has dropped in recent years. Pants only or a set are OK. Flannel is preferable, although fleece will also be considered. The price should be approximately under $50 USD. Finally, they must not be made in China or from a brand that is known to use sweatshops. He loves US-made brands but we know that is hard to find at this price point.
I am looking for links to places online (or names of brick-and-mortar shops accessible to the Seattle or Portland area) where I can find a unique and unusual pendant for a man. The price should be in the $75-$150 range. I already have a white gold chain so I am looking for the pendant alone. [more inside]
What are some of the best stores for bra shopping in Paris, France? They must have awesome bras for ladies with DD+ cup sizes. Où sont les meilleurs magasins et boutiques à Paris pour acheter des soutiens-gorge pour une femme de grande taille?
Where should my bridesmaids and I go for dressy shoe shopping in Seattle, besides Nordstrom? The girls want to find some silver shoes, pumps or peeptoes, heels not super high, and under $200. Local/indie/boutique stores are especially good.
Where can I get a hat like the argyle cap that Ricky Lizalde wears on Project Runway? It's a kangol-style cap with a black/white/gray argyle pattern. [more inside]
I'm looking for a place in Seattle or nearby that makes wacky and creative custom cakes similar to those featured on the Food TV program "Ace of Cakes". [more inside]
I'm thinking about buying a new car in the next year. I live in Seattle, Washington, where the sales tax is about 8.8%, but I visit Oregon frequently, where there is no sales tax. Would there be any drawbacks to buying the car in Oregon to avoid the sales tax? I would still register and insure it in Washington.
