I want to do Black Friday online this year and I'm looking for tips on how to make my experience as successful as possible since the last time I did Black Friday in general was when I was 8 and going from toy store to toy store looking for a goddamn Furby. [more inside]
I'm in my 40s, and I would love to have a "goto" place to buy my every day clothes. I have no idea where that place should be. [more inside]
I need to make some purchases online for Christmas - but I don't want the items to show up on the sidebar. We're a one computer family and my 16 year old daughter will easily figure out what Santa's bringing. I know there's a way to surf and purchase covertly, but when I Google "shop online secretly" and other such phrases, I don't find what I'm looking for.
My wife's favorite hobby for after work is to go onto Ebay and bargain hunt for clothes. She has been doing this for years. She doesn't buy that much, she just enjoys searching. Last week, out of the blue she got an email from Ebay that her 12 year old account was being closed and there was nothing she can do. The reasoning was odd (something about a similar account blah blah) but that is besides the point. Anyway, I am looking alternatives websites she can go to and bargain hunt for clothes online. Etsy.com is the only similar thing I can think about.
So... Black Friday is coming up in a few weeks. Can you teach me how to figure out where the best deals will be, in advance? [more inside]
I want to buy delicious chocolate, online preferably. I would prefer pure chocolate (milk or dark with no nuts or any distractions) or truffles (creamy with no flavor other than chocolate). I have seen a couple of websites online, but would like your recommendations... [more inside]
Is there a service that will let me plug in things I want ("empire waist dresses", "cardigans") that will send me deals for items I like without bothering me with other crap? [more inside]
I have a client that has a scooter food delivery service. What I need to do is build menus for each of the restaurants, have the user be able to add items to a cart and then get a total. The actual transaction will occur at the customers home upon delivery so there's no need to deal with payments online. I'd like to use something open source and I've been looking at X-cart but I'd like to consider as many options as possible. WP/WooCommerce doesn't work because it requires a payment gateway and real time transaction (as far as I can tell) I'd love some recommendations. Thanks.
I'd like to buy my girlfriend a pretty, cheap, digital watch for xmas. Does such a thing exist? [more inside]

I want to buy a specific Japanese item, but neither the maker nor amazon.co.jp will ship this item to the U.S. This item is not being sold in the U.S. or the U.K. I don't currently have any friends in Japan. Do I have any options?
I'm shopping for shoes and have a wide foot. Last I looked, Zappos had the best search option for filtering out shoes that would not fit me. Alas, I live in Canada and apparently Zappos Canada recently stopped business. What are my options in Canada for a good online store that has advanced search options like Zappos? Perhaps my only route is going onto company websites - but the only companies that I know for sure have some sort of width measurement system are: Rockport, Sketchers, New Balance....
I want to buy a $12 item of clothing from the USA and have it delivered to the UK. Can I do this without spending $30+ on shipping? Also, are the Carhartt Leather Fencer Gloves (or something as good) available in the UK? [more inside]

Should I return these items from Urban Outfitters like the store has requested and pay $60 for postage or keep the items? As I see it they've helped me out by sending another lot of the same items since the parcel appeared to be lost in the post, but what it boils down to is that I - the customer - will have to pay extra because my parcel took longer to arrive to expected. So I think I'm getting ripped off. Or, at the very least, the victim of an international company's careless mistake. I purchased $192 worth of camera film (Polaroid) over a year ago in October 2009 from an Austrian photography company. Apparently, I was never charged for it and a representative claiming to be from the company emailed me last month (around mid Feb.) informing me of this open payment and that I need to pay this amount. I have no recollection of this order, seeing as I'm a fairly routine customer and this was placed over a year ago. I ignored the first email back in February and they've now sent me another email requesting the $192 payment or threatening to take this to a debt collection agency. I don't think I even have $192 to my name - what should I do??

I'm looking to buy a sub-£500 laptop in the UK online. I've checked out Amazon, Dixons and Currys. Dixons seems to have a good range of solid models & features vs. price point. Although, I can't get any manufacturer's guarantee (a.k.a. warranty) information from them. Can anyone recommend any other reputable vendors?
I love Celestino Piatti's picture books and art. I'd love to own an original of one of his many posters. Prices on E-Bay tend to be pretty high, but I keep running across a site that claims to have many of Piatti's posters for a reasonable price. I've been tempted many times. But the site is German, and looks too good to be true. Does anyone have any experience with this site or opinion as to its legitimacy? http://www.poster-gallery.com (I promise this is not Pepsi-Blue!). Link to the Piatti posters here. My instinct is "no."
Just bought a bunch of cables on the cheap online, and so now I'm of course wondering -- what are other kinds of products that are generally wildly overpriced at retail stores but actually can be purchased cheaply online? And which online stores are best for these products. [more inside]
