Who is the best cobbler in Victoria BC? I have a pair of Black Spot Unswooshers that I like the look of, but are falling apart prematurely. The seam along the top of the toe is starting to come apart, and I'd like to have a cobbler fix them before the tear goes too far. Can anyone recommend a skilled Cobbler in Victoria BC? I'd like the repair to be as inconspicuous as possible.
My expensive ($140!) flats are falling apart after just a few months of wear, and I love them. It is incredibly hard to find flats (my default summer/autumn/spring shoe) that do not give me stabby tendonitis pains in my arches. It is even harder to find cute, plain, black flats that go with everything in my closet. I'd hate to lose them. Can they be saved? [more inside]

I think these "barefoot sandals" would be quite fetching if done in a dark brown satin-finish cord and attached to a leather sole (something like these), and I’m trying to figure out how to go about it. Making the crochet part is no problem at all, but finding a sole and attaching the two is going to be a challenge. I'm hoping that the accomplished MeFi online shoppers can help me, and also that there's a MeFite or two who know something about cobbling. [more inside]
