What was that really loud boom just now in Santa Cruz, CA?

I just heard a loud boom, and felt a shockwave rattle my trailer here in Santa Cruz, CA. My neighbors felt it too and were very curious. Could it have been an earthquake? I live on campus at UCSC. The boom was at appx. 9:19 AM, March 3rd 2009.

According to google/USGS:

http://www.google.com/search?source=ig&hl=en&rlz=1G1GGLQ_ENUS315&=&q=earthquake+santa+cruz&btnG=Google+Search

it wasnt an earthquake or hasn't been reported yet.

My question is:
How can I find out what made this quite loud boom and shockwave?

How can I download this news video?

I need to download a video from my local ABC affiliate, an ibsys.com site. (If that means anything?) They don't provide a way to do this, and the usual tools are no help. Can you help? This local news story and the attached video pertain to a family member, and I'd like to save the video for posterity. However, the site doesn't make this easy:
- There's no download button.
- They don't use a simple embed tag. In fact, they never call a unique video URL.
- The "Video Helper" Firefox extension doesn't help here.
- Running a packet sniffer, it appears to go off and connect to a Flash server (?) rather than doing a GET over HTTP, so I'm never able to pull out a unique URL like "/video12345.swf" to save.

Surely, someone's found a way to do this?

How can I save this slideshow to disk?

How can I save this slideshow to disk? A friend of mine died suddenly this week and somebody made this slideshow in her memory. I would like to save this to disk so that if rockyou.com goes away I'll still have it.

Looking at Safari's Activity window, it looks like there's a small .swf that just loads the individual .jpgs and the mp3 sound file. In other words, much as with this question, there's no single .swf file to save. Is there another approach? For example, is there an application that can capture the contents of the slideshow from the browser window, much like a screen capture? OSX preferred, but I'll find a Windows box to use if that's the best solution.

Help my MacBook play sound for my online university course please

Emergency Mac Help Needed! I have a MacBook and I am taking an online class. The class starts tomorrow but I can't hear any sound.
If anyone has a bit of time to help me on this, I'd reeeeeeeally appreciate it. So the website is http://dhtv1.csudh.edu/ava%5Fted415/ava_player.php .
You have to let the site allow popups or it won't work (it's operated by a public university, so don't worry about any data mining or sales popups).
Click the link under where it says: "Please select a link to go to the event". It takes several seconds for it to load. A video comes up but I can't get any sound. My class won't broadcast live until Sunday morning at 9am in Los Angeles, but you should be able to see the feed for whatever is on that channel right now. How do I get my sound to work? I have Flip4Mac, Macromedia Shockwave, Firefox, Safari, Camino, Netscape Navigator. I don't have Parallels, Windows, or Bootcamp so I have to get it to work with OSX. What do I do? If I can't get this working by 9am I'll be in big trouble.
(When I try it in Safari, I get a lot more content on the screen (i.e., chat capability, etc.) but that stuff doesn't show up when I use Firefox. That's OK. I'll use any browser I need to in order for this to work.)

HELP PLEASE!!

Can you guys try fiddling with it and see if you can get the sound to work?

If you email me at oldlies@gmail.com I will email you back with my username and password for the site.

Help me waste my time.

Help me waste my time. I'm trying to find this flash/shockwave game that I used to play religiously a couple of years ago. Individual multi-colored balls or spheres fall from the top of the screen and you use your mouse or arrow keys to move the balls left or right. The idea is to get 3 or more balls in a row -- horizontally or vertically -- to make them disappear. As you reach certain levels, the balls would either fall faster or the game would introduce a new color of balls. You would lose the game when any column of balls would get too high and would touch the top from where the balls would fall. I thought perhaps it was a Clevermedia or MSN game, but I can't seem to find it anymore. Sound familiar? Anyone know where I can find this game? Much appreciated!

Mousekill

Has anyone seen this shockwave (or something) movie I'm looking for with a lethal mouse? I saw this movie a few weeks ago on some website where this mouse breaks into some base and proceeds to kill a lot of other mice with swords and guns and lightsabers and it's really violent and my friend doesn't believe me that it exists, and I can't find it again. Anyone?
