Please help me find some sheet music. The piano is finally out of storage, tuned, ready to play and I cannot find my favorite sheet music. ARGH. The Gayaneh Ballet Suite; by Aram Khatchurian (I've tried various spellings of the last name and of the ballet name), arranged for solo piano. A friend gave me a Russian language edition in high school. it's missing and I cannot find a publisher. There's a shop in town that can order it, if I can find a publisher. [more inside]

I've downloaded the Sibelius Scorch sheet music plugin for both Firefox and IE. When I purchase Scorch sheet music, Scorch only plays the first page, even though I've purchased the entire song. The back/forward page buttons are grayed out. I've downloaded several songs from different Web sites, and I always get the same result. This happens with both browsers. Any ideas?

As I begin to learn the piano again, there are some songs I'd love to try to play but for which I cannot find sheet music (I definitely want to learn to play by ear at some point, but I don't think that point would best be now). I can however obtain guitar tabs for the songs, and so I'm hoping to try to translate those into rough sheet music for the piano. Can I just translate it note by note (and chord by chord), or are there some specifics about guitar tabs I should be aware about and take into account (it seems that way, a quick direct translation didn't seem to turn out quite right)? I play guitar. I learned by ear and by copying my rock and pop faves. My gf plays cello, and receives instruction via written sheet music. We'd like to have things to play together, and cello/guitar is a natural fit. But our methods differ so greatly. Let's say I can hum a tune, or perhaps even plunk it out on a keyboard. Is there software that can output sheet music for me, given this rudimentary input? Say, the bass line from Ramble On. I can play it on the kazoo. Now how do I generate sheet music for it? Did I mention I haven't read sheet music since the fourth grade?
