I'm a nurse who has trouble at the start of my shifts because my brain doesn't get up and running until I've been there for at least an hour -- but the work really requires me to be at 100% from the first minute. There are plenty of questions about how to wake up your body in the morning. How do I wake up my brain?

My tv has turquoise colored lines all over it, and also on top of menus. It just randomly did this, no lightning storm or anything. Any ideas?
Sharp Aquos LC-46D62U or LC-52D62U (Tv is mounted to wall and the manual is for both tv's. Not sure which one mine is.)

Older LCD monitor looks Horrible on new Dell Optiplex? I have a Sharp LCD monitor (LLm17w1u), which works great on my old computer, but looks like crap on my new one. I have tried every combination of settings, (Yes, all the different resolutions, color settings etc.) but still has a VERY pixilated look. It works but, heres an example, (Notice the bookmark bar words?)

Can you recommend some good mystery novels for me to read? The last mystery novels I read that I really liked were the Hilary Tamar series by Sarah Caudwell. I liked those because they were fairly light and not gory. But I especially liked them because the dialogue/narration was sharp, witty, and wry. What are some other mystery writers who write like this?

I would like sharp cheddar. The best sharp cheddar recommendations you've got. Complex, subtle cheddars are great, but I'm also feenin' for cheddar that is sharp beyond belief. So if you don't have the cheddar equivalent of a 25-year old Bowmore, a perfectly acceptable alternative is the cheddar equivalent of a ziploc bag full of Everclear. Let the cheese strike my taste buds, hard.

Slightly weird one: I occasionally get what I think is a psychosomatic sinusache. It seems to be induced by looking at a sharp edge or point, and perhaps happens to me once every one or two weeks. I'm wondering if anyone else has ever experienced this, and/or has any input into what's going on (mentally or physically) and any fixes or things that alleviate what's going on. As always,

It seems that
sticking cheese in the freezer would stop the ageing process, but what about keeping it in the fridge. Could I buy
medium cheddar, and stick it in the fridge for a year before opening it? Anyone tried this, any mold or other problems with eating year old but unopened cheese?
