What router / NAS combination (or just NAS) do I need to pre-configure and ship to a friend of mine so that I can send files to the NAS over the internet?
He is not at all computer savy. What I am hoping for is a VPN or similar that I can log into without his help and push files / pull files from the drive.

Please help me collect in my students digital work. I occasionally teach lessons in computer suites where students produce files that I would like to collect in to assess. However, the normal options (email, shared space etc) are not an option. [more inside]

My friend runs a small company that is growing. They're starting to run into file-sharing problems (versioning, archiving, etc.). Laboring under the bizarre belief that I know something about this stuff, my friend has asked for my help. [more inside]

I was wondering if there is a script/tool that I can install on my own webserver (apache2 on linux) that will do the work or dropload or yousendit or one of those numerous websites. [more inside]

When I download files with "Bits On Wheels" the torrents remain in a folder on my drive, but they are inactive. How does one keep them 'seeding' and searchable by other P2P people?
When I search for programs, it appears only recent episodes are available. I'd like to make all my older torrents available too.
