Web front end for SQL Server?

Are there really no web front end design environments that are as stupid simple as MS Access form design for a SQL Server back end? I can write a real clever stored procedure for SQL Server and assign cute and short aliases to every element of the result set and crank out an Access form or forms in no time and distribute it as a light weight front end with only execute permission required. Is there some analog for a web front end? [more inside]

Blowing some cool air on a hot server

Apparently as the air system in our office building has degraded, the heat in our offices during the spring and fall when the AC shuts off has become unbearable as air that is hotter than outside is blown around. Bad for people, but worse for our server room. It has gotten to the breaking point and we need to do something. I'm looking for a way to cool off our servers in the transition periods between winter and A/C being turned on. [more inside]

Best distrubution for Linux VPS?

I run a couple of django-based websites/webapps. What OS should I use for my VPS? The most important thing is security and easy installation of packages (including dependencies). I also prefer a system that is easy to maintain. Security is more important, but if all else is equal I would specifically love something with easy to make init-scripts. I know I can install third party packages to do just about anything, but I prefer a batteries-included approach if it exists. [more inside]

Please help me configure and secure my Ubuntu-based combined home file server/public web server/VNC server!

Please help me configure and secure my Ubuntu-based combined home file server/public web server/VNC server! I am building a low-ish power home file server, which will likely run Ubuntu 11.04 or 11.10 (possibly server edition), and I should be able to set up a basic samba share easily enough. But I would also like to use the same computer to serve a few basic webpages, and I would like to provide ssh and ideally VNC or RDP-like access from outside the LAN. I can probably get the basic software set up, but I'm a n00b when it comes to NAT stuff, firewalls, and security issues generally. I would also appreciate help with setting up dynamic DNS. Memory usage in Windows Server

Why might a process not use all available physical memory under Windows Server 2008 r2 standard? I have 32Gb of RAM acknowledged by Resource Monitor, of which 19.4 are allocated to a process (the IBM solver CPLEX running in command line form from Power Shell) that has just thrown a controlled OOM error despite there being another 12 Gb marked as available. I'm going to assume (to start with) that the program itself isn't the culprit, but is there a per-user limit switch, a per-process limit switch or something similar in 2008 r2? Any other ideas?
