Why are new TV shows running longer?

Why are new TV shows, such as USA's Mr. Robot and AMC's Fear The Walking Dead, running 65 or 66 minutes? Are we getting more show, more ads, or a little of both? How widespread is this practice and can we expect it to continue? In future syndication, will episodes be cut to fit in one-hour time slots?

Lazyweb: Greatest *consistent* scifi/fantasy series novels?

What are the best scifi and/or fantasy book series that are consistently great from novel to novel? For my purposes this would be a series of at least three books, and probably no more than... six? ish? (I might be cutting it short; this is a general estimate of about how long my interest tends to remain keen. Not a dealbreaker if a bit more). I'm looking for the sorts of books that really draw you into the fictional world and have a lot of character building, with few or no "weak links" from book to book. [more inside]

Can you help me find Sindbad the Sailor anime series from 1975?

I am looking for an anime series from 1975 called Arabian Nights: Sinbad's Adventures. Bonus points if you can find it dubbed in English or French, though I don't believe it ever was. As a child growing up in the Middle East I originally saw it in Arabic on TV, so Arabic would work for me as well.

Other series structured like "High Maintenance"?

I really like High Maintenance. Things about it that make me happy: a mix of primarily comedic episodes with primarily serious ones, but with a balance more on the comedic side; the episodes are standalone, but with some recurring characters (kind of like the Discworld book series); many different people and situations. Do you know of other good TV/video/etc series that fit these criteria, ideally ones that I can watch online?

I'm looking for the name of a kid's book series.

There was a short-lived kid's book series whose title that for the life of me I can't remember. It came out around the time that ESP McGee did. The main character had this unusual ability - he could draw anything and he had a photographic memory. The series was basically like Encyclopedia Brown, with a series of short mysteries in each volume, except that the clues to be gleaned were always hidden in the drawing. The protagonist, at the scene, always said "click" like a camera, and remembered the scene to be drawn later in his sketchbook. I mentioned this to a friend of mine and he asked me if it was Cam Jansen, who also says click, but I looked that series up and it's not her. Can anyone help? This has been haunting me for years.

tv program predicted rise of electronic books in 1980s

Trying to remember the name of a TV series program that I watched in the late 1980s that in one episode on digital information predicted the rise of the electronic book. There was a male host who led the show, which was an examination of new technologies. In the particular episode I am looking for, he recounted an idea that books in the future would be distributed from something like an ATM machine where you would insert a card onto which the book would be downloaded. If it helps, I remember he stood at some kind of podium during the broadcasts that had like an acrylic/lucite egg-shaped glowing top--random detail, but these are often what jog people's memory.

My memory fails me

I'm trying to remember a web-video series that was mentioned on the blue a couple of times in the last year or two. All I can remember is that they were hosted by a woman (maybe light brown/blond hair...?) who was giving a funny/feminist take on various things in pop culture. Does that ring a bell with anyone? I think maybe one of the topics she talked about was yogurt commercials aimed at women. I know, not much to go on!
