Best Value at Sephora

Ladies – Which Sephora products are really worth it? I was given a gift card for my birthday, and would like to use it to purchase some makeup or other girly things that are a higher caliber than what I am used to.

Question: what products are available there that are worth every penny?

My makeup regime consists of light powder, eyeliner + mascara, and occasionally eyeshadow. I apply lip gloss during the day but have not given up on the idea that someday I might find a great lipstick.

I know that Sephora carries other commodities (skincare, perfume), but those are usually much more expensive and I don’t want to spend a crazy amount above what will be covered with the gift card, which has about $50 on it.

On the flip side, are there any tools or products that are available at Sephora but definitely not worth the price? Or is it all subjective? I live in NYC, by the way, so the stores carry a fuller range.

no!no!

Experiences with Sephora's no!no! hair removal device? Last time I was at Sephora I saw this product, and when I went home I looked it up online. Unfortunately the name makes it a little tough to search for, and there doesn't seem to be much information out there about it. The only review I could find was this one, and I can't tell whether it's actually a real review or some kind of sponsored thing, and either way it's just one data point - not really enough information on which to base that big a purchase.

So, have any of you tried this device? How'd it go? I'm curious about both its effectiveness and the practicality of the thing; if it takes an hour a day, I won't actually use it. And how is it for ingrown hairs? Does regrowth look like post-waxing hair (i.e. the end of the folicle grows in, so it looks finer at first) or post-shaving hair (thicker-looking and more stubbly because it was sliced off halfway down the hair)?

Online shopping with free return policies?

Is anybody aware of a comprehensive list of shopping websites which have a 100% no questions return policy with shipping covered or individual websites with no regard for is the product is used or not? A great example of a website that does this is Sephora.com . If I buy over $75, the shipping is free and they send me pre-packaged return supplies and never ask questions if return is within 60 days. It does not matter how much of the product is left. Very cut and dry. What are your favorite websites like this?

That collar from the Sephora ads?

This is kinda (really) obscure, but what the hell. Does anyone know where they got the collar that is being worn here? It's sephora.com, and if you go past a Sephora, at least in the Seattle area, it's very prominently in the front window. It has to exist somewhere, and I really really really would like to know. I will love you forever if you have any idea, or anyone I could ask -- I mean, I can e-mail some random address at sephora.com, but I don't really expect having much success that way.

Thanks much, even if this comes up with nothing.
