Family is spending Easter break in Seoul. Please recommend a ski resort that is:
- near enough for a day trip
- accessible via public transportation
- not too crowded as a bonus
The only other ski resort we've ever been to is GALA Yuzawa in Japan, and it was accessible by train, so we'd like to imitate the same experience in Seoul.
Thanks!

Why do all (or at least, the vast majority) of flights between Sydney and the U.S. this July/August have layovers in China or Korea? How can I best go about finding a budget ticket that takes a more direct route?

Talk to me. Don't be afraid to be long-winded. I welcome oversharers. I've done reams of research on teaching in South Korea, but I still have lots of questions. And the only people I really trust to answer them are you. Spill, please. What's your Korean story?

I'm going to be in Seoul next week with my husband and my parents. My parents are Korean and will probably take the helm for showing us around and feeding us, but I'd like some suggestions for things that they wouldn't necessarily now much about, mainly: nightlife and shopping.

My husband and I are visiting Korea soon. Is the famous WiFi in Korea ubiquitous enough to use his iPhone 4 for web browsing and Skype? We're also renting an SKTelecom cellphone, but we'd like to use the iPhone for data-related tasks and travel apps. Is it just a matter of his iPhone jumping on any Wifi network (without incurring any roaming charges)? We're coming from the US (AT&T), and staying in Jeju and Seoul.

We're spending the 1st half of our honeymoon in Jeju-do. We're arriving at Incheon at 3:20pm on a Thursday. Could we get to Gimpo from Incheon in time for a 6:20pm, 7:45pm or 10:30pm flight to Jeju? Or are we better off spending the night in Seoul, then catching a flight from Gimpo the next day?

Going to Seoul next month on business, and I was looking for specific recommendations for shopping and dining. Specifically, I plan to purchase (maybe) electronics, cigars, and clothing, and by clothing I mean custom tailored suits and dress shirts. For food, I would prefer authentic Korean; might as well eat like the locals while I'm there. I've heard about the Yongsan Electronics market and the Coex mall, and I plan to visit them, but does anyone have any specific shops, locations, or restaurants to recommend? Anything in the Itaewon/Myeong-Dong/Hongdae area is preferred, but anything in Seoul will OK.

Hello, my girlfriend and I will be travelling to Seoul from our countryside campus (Soonchunghyang University). Since we’ve just finished our midterms, and since we are both new to Korea, we’ll be spending this, hopefully unraining, weekend in Seoul to explore a bit.

I've decided to go on vacation this year and I'm in the early stages of planning it. My style is backpack/hostel/budget travel. Yes, I already know about Let's Go and Lonely Planet. I'll be leaving 9/2 and coming back the 14th. I've got my destinations narrowed to the following: Tokyo, Seoul, Hong Kong, or Moscow. Any experience/advice please.
