I have a hard time sending e-mail (psychological, not technical problem) When I'm writing e-mail messages, I have a really hard time clicking the "Send" button. This used to be no problem at all for me, but some months ago it started and since then it's getting worse and worse. I read mails over and over, check attachments, change stuff, and then basically just stare at them for a considerable timespan, i.e. more than just a few minutes. This is getting really annoying. I know that I just have to hit "send", but --- I can't! This wastes a lot of time, sometimes more than half an hour.

Of course this is worse with mails that are really important (like when I apply for a job or something), but I have the impression that the problem is now spreading to other areas - it takes me ages to send off even inconsequential, silly little messages to friends. Basically, it's OCD behavior (like checking the oven again and again although you know it's switched off).

I don't have any other OCD-like problems. I used to be in treatment for moderate depression, but my depressive phases are now more or less under control, and not correlated with this problem. On the contrary, it's easier to hit "send" when I'm depressed, because then I don't care so much.
I have no problem with sending physical letters, blog posts, facebook stuff or posting in forums, it's just email (although that might change soon, who knows...)

Do you know this problem? Do you have practical suggestions how I could get rid of this (ideally, without going into therapy, because I just finished three years of therapy for my depression and am not in the mood for further soulbaring)? It's so silly - I can literally feel my heartrate going up every time I want to send a stupid email, and then it's like paralysis!

Is there a Firefox addon (other than StumbleUpon) that will allow me to email a link to whatever I'm currently viewing to someone else, without opening an external email program? In the SU toolbar, there is a button labeled "Send to..." that lets you forward a link to the current page/image/whatever to any email address with two clicks, no external email program needed. My wife does not have a StumbleUpon account and does not want one, and when I forwarded her a link yesterday, StumbleUpon took over and redirected the link to another random page with some content that made her cry. =( So I will no longer be using the SU toolbar for this purpose.

Is there another addon out there that will let me do the same thing or something close to it? I'm mainly looking for ease of use; i.e. no signup for yet another goofy social network, just click click and done. Thanks so much!

Error Message Sending E-mails

I'm getting the following message attempting to send e-mails: "An error occurred while sending mail. The mail server responded. 4.3.0 problem running virus scanner. Please check message and try again." Is this a Thunderbird, Dell or Cedant issue?

Mozilla Thuderbird glitch

I use Mozilla Thunderbird for e-mail but, beginning about a week ago, although people received and continue to receive e-mails from me that are ok, when I open the same e-mails in my "send" file to review them, they're either blank or a jumble of code, often, related to e-mails other than what I just opened. Help!

how do I send files >1GB? OSX

I am a mac OSX user and I want to send Huge (>1GB) files via the internet. Does anyone have a solution other than Yousendit, dropshare or AIM?
