I have approximately 230 dvds I'd like to sell. I have been to some local shops that advertise they buy used dvds, and I keep getting told that no one is buying right now. I'm not looking to get rich, but a little cash would be nice. All are in good condition with the original artwork/cases. (Some we never even opened)
Besides ebay, any suggestions? Has anyone had experience selling large quantities of DVDs to a reliable buyer, either in the San Diego area or online?

In haste, I ordered tickets to a Cirque du Soleil event from a web site that charged much more per ticket than Ticketmaster. Now that I know the difference, how can get rid of these tickets and get my money back? Will I get in trouble for selling these tickets for more than they cost, and how do these companies get away with doing this?

We are about four days from closing on our house and just did the final walk-through and came upon a real gut-punch of an issue. The next door neighbor has the framing up for his new garage -- we knew that he was building this and where it would be but we really did not know how tall it would be....

I'm about to list a relatively expensive item on Craigslist (asking ~$700) and have been reading up on all of the different
scam horror stories and what _not_ to do. I'm only going to be dealing with someone in person, and I won't accept any wire transfers, cashier checks or money orders because of the high abuse potential, but I'm not sure what this leaves as viable alternatives for what I _should_ do to receive payment.

I got my hands on a near-complete series of film magazines (1970s-1990s) while doing an internship in college. They're great to have, but I need some extra cash right now. I looked on EBay, and I see a few people selling single issues of this magazine with some success. Is there a market for selling the lot and if so, how much can I expect to make?

I've got a ring I'd like to sell. It's 14k white gold, about 7g. It's very simple, and somewhat blemished from wearing it and being clumsy and knocking it about. Where would I get the most money for it, and how can I calculate its raw material value (I know the raw price of gold, but being 14k and white...)?

A friend recently found out she owns a nativity set painted by a local priest who has been convicted of child molestation. As a victim of abuse herself, she wants it out of the house but would prefer to somehow sell it and donate the proceeds to a relevant advocacy group. Is this reasonable or should she just smash it up and toss it?

I currently live in Utah, and my mother is sending me my great-grandmother's jewelry for me to sell as a way to help subsidize my move to California. I've sold contemporary jewelry in pawn shops before, but I think that with these pieces being from the 20s, I should be able to get more than "weight of gold"....what is the best way to go about selling these?

I'm selling my house myself without an agent. If an agent claiming to be a "buyer's agent" contacts me, tours my house for their client and ends up having their client buy my house, do I have to pay that agent? I didn't solicit their services, so I don't think I should have to pay, but I'm confused about things I've been reading.
