Can I really make extra money as a Secret Shopper? I'm looking for some part-time work and am considering becoming a Secret Consumer after seeing a job listing for this on a popular job search website. Can anyone vouch for the legitimacy and profitability of first, this type of work, and more specifically the website/organization SecretConsumer.com?
If so, what's the catch?

Major news outlets agreed to keep Prince Harry's deployment to Afghanistan secret for security reasons; Dick Cheney's hunting accident was kept from the media for at least a day... What are other examples of these government & media secret/blackout practices?

I need examples of things and secrets only a very in the know sort of person would know about. Examples include: the Black American Express Card or Disney's Club 33. [more inside]

My hatchback car (Honda Fit) doesn't have a separately-locking trunk or glovebox. Can I add a lock-box or secret compartment somewhere inside the car for stashing a few items, for those times I must turn over my keys (parking garage, valet)? Ideally I'd only be securing/concealing 3 deck-of-cards-sized items: iPod, GPS, EZPass. There are no official Honda accessories that do this, nor can I find any Fit-fanatic mods that have addressed it.

Are there any historic analogies to Area 51
during the 19th and 20th centuries... i.e. military-controlled locations in a certain country that people weren't supposed to go to or even know about? [more inside]

[NoveltySongFilter] I am compiling lists of the following:
1. Bad hiphop tracks from the soundtracks of films from the late 80s and early 90s that summarized the plot during the end credits. You remember...Organized Krime's joint from the end of TMNT 2: The Secret of the Ooze
or Tag Team's reprise of their hit "Whoomp, There it is" for Addam's Family Values
2. Hidden, unlisted and secret joke tracks from the end of albums. Off the top of my head I can only think of more dreck from the mid-90s like Korn's track with Cheech Marin from Follow the Leader
or the Green Day track "All by Myself" from Dookie
3. Backwards masking. Kiss and the Beatles were accused of doing it so bands like Ministry thought it would be a good idea. Who else?
4. Funk or soul songs with theremin.
Please add to my list. [more inside]

Do national political leaders operate with too much privacy? Barring specific national security meetings (perhaps decided as so by an elected judge) should all other meetings/calls/messages involved in running a country be immediately available in transcript/video/audio to it's citizens?
I guess this question is aimed at democratic type governments. The theory is that these leaders are put in power by the populace, but normally operate without much of a public paper trail, hindering accountability and public access to the truth.

How likely is it that someone would be given security clearance (confidential, secret, or top secret) if they experimented with various illegal drugs (including marijuana, acid, cocaine and crystal meth) during their college years (ending about 5-6 years ago) but who hasn't done anything since (and has no desire to anymore)?
