Trying to figure out where to watch the super bowl this afternoon. I'm in North Seattle. Any recommendations for bars where I can have a little unironic enjoyment of the game without getting beer spilled on me?

Local question: Can anyone recommend a specific practitioner in the Seattle area who specializes in this, or who might otherwise be a good fit?

4g Wireless broadband in Seattle: I'm considering replacing my Qwest DSL with 4g wireless broadband. (A cable modem solution isn't available in my building.) Also, I think I'd be purchasing the home modem version of the plan upon which I decide. I have plenty of mobile internet with my iPhone. Fast enough to stream netflix is my benchmark. It seems like Sprint is the best deal. What say you? Thanks!

I'll be on a trip to Seattle on Sunday, 11/7 -- the day that my hometown team the Atlanta Falcons will be squaring off against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Since I'm guessing that the Atlanta-Tampa Bay contest will not the be featured game on the local Seattle Fox affiliate, I'm wondering ...
Is there any place in Seattle (I'm thinking sports bar, I guess?) where expatriate Falcons fans gather? Heck, I'd even be willing to go to place where expatriate Bucs fans gather. Or just a sports bar in general where they might show all the games on various monitors.
Thanks!

Helping a friend out by driving his car up to Victoria from the San Francisco and leaving it there for him. Looking forward to the trip, but stymied by finding an affordable 1 way trip back to the Bay Area in mid-October. Flights from Victoria are about $300, which isn't horrible, but we would rather take a ferry back to the States and fly back from there.

The pork fried rice is the main target, but am curious about what sort of
advice the MeFi community has about good Chinese restaurants in
Seattle in general.

My painter is recommending
Rodda paint for our house exterior. I like that Rodda is a regional company here in Seattle. But I can't find any reviews on their quality. Nothing in Consumer Reports.
Painter uses Rodda AC 911 flat and AC 909 satin.
Anyone have an opinion? Is it good lasting paint?

My son loves little trains! We took him to the model railroad exhibition last winter and he was completely entranced.
He's only 2 so heavy museums with lots of stationary artifacts aren't so interesting to him -- he wants to see things moving! But we don't have the space (or frankly the inclination) to maintain a model railroad in our home.
Is there a place in or near Seattle where we can see model railroads year-round?

I'm taking a quick trip to Seattle in early November and, as I've never been to Seattle before, I have several questions:
1) What are my options for getting from the airport to my hotel (
Silver Cloud Lake Union)? What should I expect to pay?
2) I'll be in meetings throughout most of the trip, but I have an entire day free to explore the city before taking the red-eye back home. How should I plan my free day to see all the Seattle highlights (my flight leaves at 10:55pm)?
3) Where should I absolutely have lunch and dinner on my free day (it will be a Sunday)?

Canoe storage in Seattle: what options are there for apartment dwellers who would like to own a canoe? One caveat- I don't own a car. This would need to be by the water. Are there marinas that offer lockers for small boats? Google hasn't helped me with this one. Any info would be awesome! Thanks.
