I have more luggage than I can carry by myself. I have to return a rental car and check my luggage. Is there an easy way to do this at Seatac? [more inside]

We are relatively new to Seattle and have some friends who have a five hour layover coming in tomorrow afternoon. We do not have enough room in the car to carry them all, so they (1 father, 2 sons - ages 3 & 5) will jump on the light rail and meet us somewhere.
Where would be a good, child-friendly place to meet along the light rail route to hang out for a few hours on what will likely be a rainy afternoon?

I am picking the girlfriend up from the airport, we haven't seen eachother in about a month. We are going to hang out for a little while, because a good friend is flying in a half hour later - and we're her ride. What is something nice to do with her at Seatac before our friend lands? [more inside]

When I fly into SeaTac airport, now and then I'll see people in cars very near the runway, hanging out and watching the planes take off and land. That looks like fun. I've driven around the area a bit, but I can't find a really good spot. Can anyone give me directions to a good place? (I Googled a bit too.)
