Last night my husband was involved in a very low-speed crash -- the other party was a cement pylon. The crash popped the airbags and broke the plastic grill on the front of the car, but we don't see any other damage.
My son's car seat was in the back of the car. (My son was not in the car.) Do I need to replace the seat? [more inside]

I test drove a Nissan Versa and I liked the car very much, but felt that maybe my lower back hurt after 45 minutes or so of driving--even though the seat felt good when I first climbed into it. Otherwise, great value. And when I talk to other people who own this car, they tell me how comfortable the seats are. I'm 5'11", 160 pounds--pretty average I would suppose. So my question: 1) How likely is it that my back will "adjust" to the car? 2) If the seat doesn't work after awhile, has anyone had success with lumbar support products (pillows, etc.)--or is that just wishful thinking? My scooter has a wet seat. Not at first glance, but the foam cushioning seeps out water when I sit on it (I left it outside a while ago in some heavy rain), making it necessary for me to sit on a plastic bag every time I ride. It's been dry everyday for two weeks, and the thing still seeps water! How can I dry the seat out? [more inside]

What is involved in running for a seat in the House? Right now there is an uncontested seat in my district, (AR-03) Arkansas, going to Boozman (R). He has a lot of financial backing and and a solid religious support base but he is also batshit insane. I am a 32 year old network/computer specialist that works for the university with no previous political experience, I am pretty good organizer and a fair public speaker and would do well on web activism. but I am not sure if this would even make a difference in a real congressional race as I have no $$$, if there was another candidate I would support them, but this guy is running unopposed so somebody should do something!

Is it feasible to relocate a car seat to provide more legroom? I'm tall, and the new cars I'm interested in do not have enough driver legroom. Are there companies who can move the seat hardware back? Will this void warranties or otherwise damage the car? I'm thinking of some of the smaller Hondas and Toyotas such as the Toyota Matrix and the Honda CRV.
