Whoops! I used the wrong silicone sealant.

It looks like either a king-sized beverage spill or small pools of dried blood, and neither are upholstery colors.

Foam sealant removal

Is there any household item that will get foam sealant (the stuff in the can at the hardware store) off your fingers? I tried Lava and it didn't do anything, then I tried vegetable oil and it made it less sticky (except with the bond to my fingers).

RefinishingFilter: I am refinishing a vintage maple piece by hand, and am considering using gel stain. Has anyone here tried this combination of wood and finish? What did you use as a sealant?
