Help me find more oysters to try (especially on the east coast)

Trying raw oysters here and there during different times of my life living on the east coast and never cared for them unless they were fried. So large and salty and meh. Then, THEN i went to Vancouver and Seattle and fell in love with: Chefs Creek oysters, Kumamotos, and Kusshis. [more inside]

Avoiding molluscs in Italian food

I'm allergic to molluscs: scallops, mussels, clams, squid, oysters, whelks, etc. I'll be spending some time in Venice and the Cinque Terre area soon. Is there anything I should look out for to avoid accidentally eating molluscs? [more inside]

Restaurants in Monterey, CA

We're going to be in Monterey, CA, this afternoon, and staying overnight. Tonight is our fourth wedding anniversary - where should we go for some nice but not crazy expensive seafood tonight? And any recommendations for breakfast places? Thanks!

Restaurant like Phil's in Moss Landing, only near West LA?

Whenever I get hungry, I wish I lived in Moss Landing. I would be at Phil's all the time. It's pretty much my dream eatery. Super casual, extremely yummy, reasonably priced for what you get. Where can I get that type of experience here on the west side of LA? [more inside]

Let's play "Please the Pescetarian!"

Mrs Supercres just switched from vegetarian to pescetarian (which she already asked about). And I'm a fish-cooking neophyte. Now that the initial shock / honeymoon is over, help us integrate fish and shellfish into our weekday dinners cheaply and conveniently. [more inside]

Looking for personal recommendations for seafood restaurants in St. Petersburg, FL area.

My SO and I will be in St. Petersburg, FL area for 2 and half days and I've been put in charge of lining up where we should eat. His requirements are to pick a place with ice cold beer and conch listed on the menu. My requirement is to find a place where the locals go and tend to be less touristy. Suggestions for places you've actually dined that meet both of our requirements? Oh, we will have a car, are flying in and out of Tampa and don't mind travelling a bit farther out for a great place. Thanks!
