I’ve been taking photos of the same(-ish) spot for the past year in the hopes of stringing them all together to illustrate the changing seasons. Now that I have the photos, I need some tech help to pull the next step off. Snowflakes (not many, I hope) inside. [more inside]
I'm looking for a very professional-looking Wordpress theme with parallax scrolling. Preferably horizontal, wouldn't mind if it were standard vertical. Something clean, simple and modern. The less glitches/bugs, the better.

Unix shell ls command: the output scrolls off the screen a lot of the time, so I find myself doing ls | less. There's probably an easier way to get ls to pause and wait at the end of every screenful of output. Could you tell me what it is? Sorry if this is a dumb question.

Gmail filter. When I use the Y shortcut to archive a message I have scrolled down to read, Gmail has started opening the next message similarly scrolled down. This means I have to scroll back up to see the beginning of the message. Please hope me. Occurs in FF4.01 and IE8. Happens for both my personal and work Gmail.

Is there a Greasemonkey script to turn side scrolling websites into up-down scrolling websites? [more inside]
I'm using Firefox 3.5.1, and annoyingly often I can't scroll up or down or sideways on a page by using the space bar or the appropriate arrows or even the page up and page down keys. I end up having to use the sliding do-hickey on the right of the screen. It seems to happen more frequently with some sites than others--the NY Times is one of the worst. The Metafilter sites are seldom if ever a problem. This occurred even before I upgraded to 3.5.1. If anyone out there has a convenient fix for this, I'd greatly appreciate learning about it. Thanks.
Excel 2007 - How do I stop the scrolling function from jumping to the top/bottom of a cell? This happens using the mouse scroll wheel, when clicking the scroll wheel and moving the mouse (free scroll type of thing), and when using the scroll bars onscreen. [more inside]
This might be a dumb question about my iPhone 3G (latest software update): where did I see some sort of scroll bar down the side of a list (of names? songs?) that functions similarly to the list of letters along the side of the screen in the Contacts application? Instead of letters, it was a series of horizontal bars that indicated relative position over the full length of whatever the list was. Made scrolling through a super long list quick and easy. Did I make this up? Googling hasn't turned up anything useful, but pointers there would be helpful, too. Thanks in advance.
I need to create scrolling list, with something a bit extra. [more inside]
