Automatic screenshots from a DVD? I know how to take individual screengrabs from a a movie with VLC or Media Player Classic -- but I'd like to get a whole bunch at once. Is there windows software that will let me set an interval and extract a series of screenshots automatically?

(The original) The Shining: filmed on a 1.37:1 negative for display on a 1.33:1 TV or matting to 1.85:1 in theater (see 1, 2, 3 and many other sources). So why does my PC's DVD player grab screenshots at 1.50:1? [more inside]

I'm working on a computer manual, and my publisher needs me to take a lot of screenshots. She says they must be 6 inches wide and 300ppi. I don't know of any screen capture programs that can do this. I'm on a PC, and I need an app I can quickly get my hands on (i.e. downloadable) -- preferably free or cheap.
