Can anyone help me find a screengrab of the octopus on the end of Wednesday's bed (from the movie version of The Addams Family)? My google-fu is failing me. I'd just go out and buy the dvd and do a screengrab myself, but suprisingly there is no R2 release of this movie! I'm planning on using the image as a starting point for a t-shirt illustration.

How can I (screen) capture my competitors? And my site?

I'm looking for an awesome screen capture utility/firefox plugin/web application/any solution to take screen grabs of my site and a couple competitors every few hours. Anyone have any awesome solutions? Google shows a lot of options and lots of screen capture for video options, but I suspect the hive mind knows the best one for my situation. Ideally, it must be:
+ Free
+ Automated
+ Be able to set up to timed intervals (every hour, ideally)
+ Be able to set up for multiple sites
+ Produce a JPG, PNG or some other visual format

Thanks for your help!

Utility that uses OSX-like keyboard shortcuts for screen captures in Windows?

Best utility for taking screen captures (of user-defined areas, not just of active windows) on WinXP. There are a ton of posts about screen captures and screen shots. I've also found software like Window Clippings and SnagIt through Google. However, I'm not sure if I've found the *perfect* utility yet, and I want to know if it's out there.

In Mac OSX, I've set up my Keyboard Shortcuts so that with command-shift-4 I get crosshaired mouse which can be used to define an area of the screen and save it as a JPEG to my desktop. (Note - some command-line tweaking necessary to change the file type to JPEG from the default PNG.) Also, command-control-shift-4 copies the defined area to my clipboard.

This is the exact behavior I'm looking for in a Windows XP utility. Free would be nice, but low CPU usage is a priority - don't want an average system to freeze up when this is activated along with lots of other stuff running. The behavior I'm describing is all I'm currently looking for, so lots of other bells and whistles aren't going to sway me much.

Am I on the right path with SnagIt? It seems like a big piece of software for what I'm trying to do... maybe I've just been spoiled by Apple. TIA.

How to get high-res DVD screen grabs/captures

Is there a way to get high resolution DVD screen grabs? I'm looking for a way to capture images from a DVD, preferably in TIFF format (but jpeg will do in a pinch). These are images that will eventually be printed, so the higher the resolution the better. Printers request at least 300 dpi for sufficient image quality. But, in playing around the software I've found (in part through previous MeFi threads) such as PowerDVD or WinDVD etc., the best I can seem to get is 96 dpi. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
