Is there any way to fix this laptop screen problem?

Last night, while watching a tv episode, my laptop screen did this. This morning, after installing the most recent video driver and copious shut-downs and restarts, the problem is still here. Sometimes the bottom 3/4 is flickering like it is continuously refreshing at a stuttering rate, sometimes it is still. [more inside]

Advertising screen vs cheap TFT monitor - what's the difference?

I'm looking to buy a monitor for our business that I can use to display adverts/information on. Either fed from a server or loaded onto a SD card. Does anyone know the difference between a cheap used 22" TFT from eBay which I can use with an old Mac Mini and a proper "advertising screen" with a built in computer which can costs hundreds of pounds? Thanks a lot for your insights.

Best New TV For Watching Old Movies?

Our TV, a stately Sony Trinitron that's served us since 1999, is dying. We need a new 42 inch-ish TV. I have no idea what to look for in this new flat/plasma/HD market. All I want to avoid is that godawful HD thing where old movies look like cheap soap operas and everything is too sharp and flat. No interest in a smart TV or 3D or anything like that. What should I buy to make our media diet of old movies and Netflix TV shows look the best?

Nexus 6 cracked screen

I dropped my Nexus 6 phone today, and the screen, which was slightly cracked in places, got worse at the corner I dropped it on. The cracks don't bother me cosmetically, but as I examined it a small square (like a mm or 2) fell out of the screen, allowing me to actually see into the phone. It's on a part of the phone I rarely touch, and off the actual LCD. How can I remedy this? [more inside]

Why is Mac Screen Sharing Falling over to Chicken of the VNC?

Same screen resolution -- but smaller images!?

I just can't understand this. I have two laptops, both size 11.6, one of which (Dell Inspiron 11 3000 series) has larger type and content than the new Lenovo I got (S21e)...yet both are set to the highest resolution, the native 1366 x 768. I try adjusting the "make things larger", but these are Windows 10 and it keeps me at 100%. Things can appear a bit fluffier, larger, a couple of settings down but this can't be he answer, can it? Of course my 15.6 lappys are damn near perfect...

What are these weird "crosshair" video screens I have seen at airports?

In the terminals of a few airports I've been to (CLT, BOS, maybe YYZ?), I have seen screens playing video advertisements on the walls of the terminals that don't look like the typical LCD or plasma TV. They seem to consist of four rectangles arranged 2x2, essentially forming one "screen", with a small gap between each panel. There is no "frame" around each panel like a normal TV - I just appears to be four screens by themselves. Also, the panels appeared unusually bright. The image did not appear to be projected from elsewhere. What are these devices called?

Screen printing office setup

We want to build a screen printing setup at work. I had a studio back in the day where some friends and I made an exposure table, a printing rig and place to store the screens. That part, I've got down. What I don't know how to get around here is a spray booth. There is no water source in the actual studio. We do, however, have a kitchen area and there are bathrooms so I have access to water, I just need to figure out a good way to put this together.
