Scotland vacation: I have 4 days to kill between work events in London and Glasgow, and I'm considering walking part of the West Highland Way by myself. Is this a reasonable plan, or do you have a better suggestion of how to use this time (ie other long distance walks or other plans entirely)? [more inside]

Bonehead and I are going to Scotland in July, and will be starting in Edinburgh and culminating in a singing session in Cullerlie, near Aberdeen. On the way I'd like to see the Highlands, Skye or maybe Oban. My question is twofold: what awesome things can Scottish Mefites suggest to us to do between July 15th and 23rd, and 2) any appetite for a meetup?
