How to recover a lost title for a scooter I would like to purchase from someone who got it in another state? I'm in Missouri, the title was in Illinois. Simplicity is a priority.
I normally wouldn't hassle, but it is mint and the price is better than right.
Additionally--I've heard rumor about some mysterious trick involving Arkansas--that just may make everything easier. [more inside]

I have a two-stroke, 50cc scooter. The miles are starting to add up and its idle is sounding rougher and rougher whenever I use it. Can I get a "tune up" for a small scooter like I would a car? What does this involve? Something I can do myself is fine, though I'll probably just take it to a garage. [more inside]

What was this thing I saw on the road the other day? It looked like a scooter except it had two smaller wheels in front, Segway-style. And what would be the advantage of that design?

So, I ended up buying a scooter. Then today I called Queensland Transport to double check that it is indeed true that I require only a car licence rather than a motorbike licence. I was told that if I had've applied for my Learners Permit last week (before the 1st July 2007), I would have been allowed to ride with car Ls, without supervision. But now I require somebody driving "in front of me". What are my options?! [more inside]

My scooter has a wet seat. Not at first glance, but the foam cushioning seeps out water when I sit on it (I left it outside a while ago in some heavy rain), making it necessary for me to sit on a plastic bag every time I ride. It's been dry everyday for two weeks, and the thing still seeps water! How can I dry the seat out? [more inside]

Help me buy a scooter in Paris. I've just moved to Paris for work, and will be getting my carte de sejour (longterm visa) in a few weeks. I would like to find a decent second-hand Vespa or something similar. Some of the questions I have: Can I get a nice ride for under 1000€? Will I need an expensive French license (I currently hold one from NJ)? What type of insurance will I need and how much should I expect to pay? I'm looking to buy in September, so any help would be appreciated!

My girlfriend has a 2006 Vespa scooter (still under warranty, less than a year old). Last night, it simply wouldn't turn over. No warning signs before this, no problems. Full tank of gas. I can hear it click, but the motor simply doesn't catch.
I'm not much of a gearhead. Any suggestions on how we might troubleshoot this more ourselves, before we have it towed to a dealer? Any basic checks that we can do, before taking it in to the shop?

I have a 2003 Honda Elite 80 and it has almost zero storage space. I was going to throw on one of those plastic crates that you find at the grocery stores, but these days they are much bigger. Does anyone know where I could find storage out for the back rack of my scooter outside of these plastic crates?

I bought a Twist n Go scooter last year without the research and it turns out that its very hard to get parts for this scooter when repairs are necessary. I was wondering if anyone could recommend a manufacturer(honda etc...) of a scooter that if bought used could still be quickly repaired with parts that are still made or easily ordered. Or a scooter that is new, but cheap and will last long. I would like to keep my purchase under $1000...
