GoogleFu has failed; I'm working on a project for school and I need to find the prevalence of Multiple Sclerosis for North Carolina, how the prevalence has changed over the past 50 years, and what age groups have shown the greatest increase in MS in the past 10 years. Any one know where I could find this information, not only for North Carolina, but for other states as well?

My Mom might have Multiple Sclerosis, but she has Peripheral Neuropathy that doctors and EMG say isn't related to MS. It's caused disability in her legs. I know there aren't silver bullets, but can anyone suggest alternative or complementary treatments that are worth a look? More inside... [more inside]

After years of doctor visits, tests, pain, tingling, and everything else, my wife was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. Her Neuro recommends Avonex; the decision on which med is up to us. I'm looking for non-biased, objective web sites comparing the various Interferon treatments. I'd also like to hear the experiences of others. [more inside]

MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS

I'm not expecting a cure: just stuff that's helped fellow sufferers.

Apart from the drugs I'm prescribed: I'm trying a low fat/dairy diet, taking multi-vitamins, fish oil & evening primrose oil (which, as a combinaton, aren't a bad thing for me)

Is there anything else that someone with MS has found helpful that I don't know about? I'm thinking about acupuncture? specific exercises? suppliments? or dietary changes? or anything really.
