I need a good, creative Christmas gift idea for my dad. He's really into travel by air and rail--not the vehicles themselves so much, but their schedules, the logic behind putting a particular model on a particular flight, etc.

I run a bi weekly group for job hunters and career changers. I will likely be doing the first Thursday of the month at 7pm for the in person meetings then I'll be doing Skypecast meetings as well in between. I want a regular schedule but I want to get a guage on a lot of people's daily grind. I have asked my group but many are bad when it comes to my polls.
Do you have kids? when are you done with their nightly routine? When do you eat dinner? Whatever...
I'm thinking Sunday afternoon/evening or Tuesday evening at 7 for the skypecast (can I start it later because they don't need to leave the house?).
In a nutshell, what would work for you? Or not work..
Sorry if this is really mundane but it helps me a lot. I run a lot of groups.

Our team needs a better scheduling/calendar application. (I've created a mockup (see inside) of one desired outcome.) Its a small team (under 10ppl) but we work 24/7 and would like the schedule to be easy to update/modify. There must be some kind of Web2.0/Ajax-ified hotness for this out there somewhere, I'm just not finding it.

My small company (two people) needs some type of simple scheduling software that we can use with Macs, PCs and a Blackberry. We really only need to sync our calendars on a regular basis, and everything I've seen so far is much more complex than that. What are our options?

How do you get a busy but techno-phobic guy to be open to the idea of calendar schedule sync'ing with another very busy super geek?
Obviously, I'm the geek here, and I am stressed about people's needs to talk on the phone when calendar sync takes only one second.

I'm an irresponsible guy with a really horrible memory dating a very responsible girl, and I keep fucking things up between us by forgetting things, screwing up schedules and things like that. It's not just things like the date we started going out, her birthday, or whatever (this sort of info is on my calendar just not in my head). It's things like the time we're going to meet, or where she's going to be at a specific time. I've always been so bad with dates and times and schedules that if I don't have absolutely everything written down then SOMETHING will be completely forgotten. I write down when dates are going to be, I copy her class and work schedules into my calendar, all that sort of thing, but I fuck some things up and it really upsets her.

My sleep schedule is very hectic. While I almost always have to get up early, I frequently have to stay up very late to complete projects or have at least a few hours to spend with friends. I try and use the weekends to catch up on sleep, and I have many tricks to haul myself out of bed in the mornings but I was wondering if anyone might know a relatively safe combination of drugs that would not only help me quickly fall asleep but also wake up quickly if I haven't gotten my "full" 8 hours of sleep?
