I have the "Beaming Service for Samsung" (based on Beep’nGo by Mobeam) pre-installed on my Samsung Galaxy mobile phone, but I can't see how to actually launch the app. Does anyone here use the app and can you tell me how to launch it on my phone? (BTW, this is not Android Beam for file transfer, it is a barcode beaming app)
Over the past few weeks our Samsung LCD TV has developed an odd habit after we turn it on. It will cycle on and off quite a few times before finally displaying a picture and sound (yesterday it took 25 minutes to come on). During the cycling the picture, if it displays, will be full of vertical lines (usually green or blue). There is usually no sound, except sometimes it will make a deafening screech that sends the cat running. [more inside]
I'm looking for the best product - case or wallet - to boost the battery life of a Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge. My previous Galaxy had a removable battery so this was easy, but the sealed design of the snazzy new models means I need some options. [more inside]
What is going on with the battery of my Samsung Galaxy S Tab and how can I fix it? [more inside]
I just upgraded my phone to a Samsung S5. I'd like to protect it, but since it's already on the big side I'd like to get a case that balances slimness and protection. I already have a screen shield on it, so something that plays nice with that would be appreciated. Price range is between 10 and 25 dollars. Availability on Amazon a huge plus.
I have been gifted a Samsung Gear Live, and in the process of struggling to put a backpack on over a heavy winter jacket, I ripped off one of the watch bands. The band itself is fine, but the metal post or whatever that attaches it to the watch face is bent. Can I buy just the post somewhere? [more inside]
My (never rooted) Samsung Galaxy S4 has been exhibiting some strange behavior. How can I tell if I have a virus or if there's a more innocuous explanation? [more inside]
This is idiotic, I realize. How do I hold my Samsung S4 up to my face, for phone calls, without mashing random touch-screen buttons? Every time I use it in that way, I end up pushing things inadvertently with my cheek. I think it's very likely that I'm doing something wrong.
I've got a Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini (GT-19195/ Android 4.2.2.) with a Samsung USB/power cable that until two days ago was able to connect with my laptop (Windows 7) over USB. Now however, after a firmware update, the computer no longer sees my phone nor does the phone see the computer. What's going on and how can I resolve it? [more inside]
I am looking at getting a new phone with a big-ass screen, primarily for browsing. I've narrowed it down to an LG Pro 2, Sony T2 Ultra, or Galaxy Note 3 - but I need to know if anyone actually uses the space-age stylus. [more inside]
Do I have to replace my Samsung refrigerator's water filter? [more inside]
I have a Galaxy S4 and I generally transfer pics from it to a Windows 8.1 PC via USB, connecting up the Samsung as an external hard drive, navigating down to the DCIM folder on the camera's external SD card, then dragging & dropping. Recently, all my photos more recent than Feb 2014 are not visible via Windows Explorer even though the camera itself shows that those photos are indeed stored in the same folder on the external SD card that has all the pre-Feb photos. What gives? Are they hidden form view somehow?
I am trying to run an old Samsung ML-2510 laser printer off a USB port with a desktop running Windows 8. I have downloaded the appropriate universal print driver and Samsung Easy Printer Manager. The printer installed and ran fine when I first bought it (used), but after a month or two the computer wouldn't recognize it for whatever reason. After a day of fiddling and installing and uninstalling drivers, changing USB ports, etc., I can get it to run perfectly. I then print off my stuff. The next time I go to use it, the computer can't find it and won't run it. Anyone have this problem with a computer recognizing a printer intermittently? I can understand it not working at all, but why does it work perfectly and then quit working, apparently at random intervals?
I have a wifi network on an Airport Extreme 802.11n, extended by several Airport Express (2008 model, MB321LL/A) base stations. My new Samsung LED TV, in a room about 20 feet from the Airport Extreme, takes down my entire network—I can't reach the internet anywhere in the house—until I shut down the TV and reboot the Extreme. Suggestions for diagnosing and repairing the problem, please? [more inside]

Took a seemingly bricked Samsung Galaxy Nexus to one of those repair shops. They "unbricked" it, but the thing seems useless. No Play Store on it, you can't set up a Google account... details inside. The shop says they don't know how to undo what they did. A way to salvage? [more inside]

I just got a Nexus 4. I want to sell my Galaxy Nexus. How do I delete my stuff and make it safe to sell? I did a factory reset but of the 16gb it tells me only 5.6 are free (this is with no apps on it) and says it still has photos and videos and audio (though I can't see that stuff in the gallery and other apps). Thanks! [more inside]

So Samsung has been ordered to pay Apple ONE BILLION DOLLARS. Let's assume this is final, and ignores appeal, etc. How would this actually happen? I can't see it being a big check delivered on stage. Bank transfer? Scheduled payments over the course of XX years? (Freightcars loaded with pennies delivered in spite?)

I'm shopping for an HDTV, and might have lucked into an excellent deal on a Panasonic TH-50PF30U "digital signage display". Help me understand the difference between a consumer plasma HDTV and a digital signage plasma HDTV, because this is the first time I've heard of the latter. [more inside]
Allshare Error Message filter: We have recently purchased a Samsung Smart Blu-Ray Player. The big attraction for us was that it would enable us to play shows downloaded from the Internet via the Allshare program. However, after I downloaded Allshare and tried to run it, I received the following error: "The Allshare shared server has shut down. It will restart." I would close the message, and it would come back again and again. [more inside]

I have a 4 year old Samsung ML-2510 printer that will no longer print. It takes in a sheet of paper about halfway, then stops for ~20 seconds then spits the page out a blank page. It will keep doing this until it runs out of paper. The red error light is slowly flashing. The problem appeared a couple of years ago, but I've always been able to get it to go away before. It worked fine the first time I used it this semester but stopped working the second time I used it. Since then I've only been able to get it to spit out one non-blank page, and that was involved in a paperjam. Does anyone have any ideas on how I can get it working? I've tried Google and the Samsung site, but I get the same 4 questions answered over and over again. [more inside]
HDMI CEC in the real world: I've got a new Samsung LED TV, which has got a number of DVD-like control buttons on the remote (play, pause, rewind etc). I'd like to use these to control a Blu-ray player when I buy one, but can I buy any (recent) player and be confident that the TV and player will work together (via HDMI Consumer Electronics Control) as advertised? Do they all play nice together in practice?

My new Samsung HDTV plays lots of content off a USB Hard Drive. Works great. What's the best way for me to setup a hard drive that stays connected to the TV but allows my computer to write files to it? Seems like all the drives I have or look up only allow 1 device to connect to it at a time.
