We are currently using Business Contact Manger as our CRM software. We are having problems when having to re-install (computer crashes, etc) at this point and are looking to either upgrade to Office 2013 (which will allow us to use Business Contact Manager 2013) or to find a new CRM.
The preferred option (long-term) would be to get a new CRM, as BCM (Business Contact Manager) does not meet all our needs, and is essentially defunct, but it would need to be less than the price of buying Office 2013 for the 4 users who use it (around $2100). [more inside]

I'm back in the web software development world after about 7 years selling already developed software. Mobile software development barely existed the last time I talked to a client about development projects. I understand the web side of things just fine still. Mobile I'm clueless on.
Is there a good book or maybe website(s) that will help get me up to speed, and stay there? I'm running sales, so I'm not going to be writing any code. [more inside]

I am looking for an online or software-based solution to track monthly/quarterly/yearly sales numbers across multiple markets. As a small company, we are not opposed to paying for the service, but cannot afford anything too expensive. Any suggestions on programs you have used?

Our small company has been spun off and now we're in startup mode; luckily we have four software products (we make network-control apps) almost ready. Suddenly I've got more hats: from being a lowly install programmer, now I'm also to write docs, do phone support, organize product packaging and fulfillment, and set up our website for online sales including choice of download of software or mailed CD. All by the end of the month, spending as little as possible. The first three are manageable, but although I’m a programmer I don’t know web stuff, and need advice please. [more inside]

I want a utility (freeware?) which will scan an NCSA extended logfile and create a simple report on which referrers generated how many sales transactions.
