I need to find a quaich (Double handled loving cup) in the next five days. I live in NYC. I can find out where to buy one online, but I don't think I can get one that will ship to me in time to be sure of it. I will travel anywhere in NYC. Is there a brick and mortar store that might carry this? Or somewhere that ships ridiculously fast? [more inside]

I'm on a business trip which I didn't expect to include any formal meetings, so I foolishly didn't bring any dressy clothes. I've suddenly ended up with a meeting at which I really should wear at least a blazer or sport coat. [more inside]

I'm trying to decide whether to take MetroNorth to Grand Central Monday morning. Will a train arriving @8:51am be unpleasantly packed, or is that considered late in the rush hour? [more inside]

Let's say someone (anyone) made a fortune in the early 18th century - would it be possible to track their fortune over time to see where it is in the present day? I can imagine this being relatively simple if the money just stayed in the family, but what if you wanted to track the fortunes made during something like the Gold Rush?

Bad credit, but good income. Other complications. You're a landlord - what would convince you to rent to us, especially in a competitive housing market? Or you've been in a tenant in this or similar situations - what did you do? Snowflakes abound. [more inside]

Can anyone suggest a great bridal seamstress in the NYC area that can do a wedding dress from scratch using a picture as reference? Adding difficulty, this would need to be done for less than ~$1000, and the wedding is May 6, so it would have to be done (with fittings, etc.) before that. [more inside]

I've recently discovered that when I stretch backwards with my arms above my head while holding my breath, I sometimes get a super-trippy laughing-gassy lightheaded rush for about (no longer than) ten seconds.
So: How bad is this for me?
Am I killing loads of brain cells?

How/where do I obtain the right to LEGALLY use a photo of Rush Limbaugh? I don't have a particular photo in mind, but can not find an organization/individual to grant the right to use any photo. After the recent flap over the Obama photo...

Every once in a while but at least once a day I get this weird feeling
that I just figured out how to describe. Imagine you really have a crush on someone and they unexpectedly enter the room and maybe smile at you - the feeling I get when that happens is similar to this unprovoked random feeling that I'm asking about. Basically, out of nowhere, for like one second, I seem to stop breathing, have a tightness in the back of my throat and experience what feels like a wave of low pressure in the center of my chest. It's a little like what you might call an adrenaline rush or a panic wave but I'm not stressed.... [more inside]
