I'm looking for advice on the right way to get set up for running with an iPhone in terms of gear/accessories.
Specifically, I'm looking for explicit product recommendations for cases and earpieces. I think I'd like a case that I can wrap around my arm and definitely want a water resistant case. I don't care about being able to advance songs or anything -- it's fine if the list just plays through. I'm thinking corded earphones are the best option because this allows flexibility for listening to music and if I can get one with the iPhone button, ability to deal with calls.
What's the best setup to run with the iPhone, thinking calls, music, security and the like??

Running Filter: I have signed up for half a marathon coming up at the end of January. I also signed up for a running group which helps you train for the half a marathon. I have missed about 60 precent of the running sessions. With the marathon less than a month away, I need some help getting ready for it.

Yesterday (Thursday) I did a pretty long run (7 miles out and back over pretty large hill in an hour and fifteen minutes). Tomorrow (Saturday) I'm running a 10k race in Santa Monica.
Thursday's run wouldn't have been that big of a deal, except for the fact I had to borrow cotton socks (Champion brand from Costco) from my father as I forgot to pack my synthetic running socks.
Now that gave quarter sized blisters on the front part of the arch of each foot. They're right behind the "ball". Also, during the run I the blisters popped and outer skin rubbed off. So, both feet have circles where the top layer (layers?) of skin is gone.

I can run 6:30 miles for an hour, a little uncomfortably, or 7:00 miles pretty easily over the same interval. What would it take, training-wise, for me to run a sub-3-hour marathon?

Why do I get floppy feet after I run? They don't hurt, so I don't think they're shin splints...they just flop around when I try to walk. Help?

I need headphones for running with. I know there are other headphone questions out there but I have really specific needs:
1. No bluetooth as my MP3 doesn't support it
2. I have really small ear holes so the larger ones don't stay in, I can use the smallest covers for the in-ear ones
3. Do the over-ear hook ones get in the way of one's glasses? Experience on this please!
4. I need a wire that's long enough to get to my waist belt without an extension (with a linker thing that flaps around)
5. I don't want white ones!
6. Available in the UK.
Thanks all - hope someone can help!

I started running 2 - 3 weeks ago and I run around 3 miles every second day. So for the past week, I've had this sort of "pain" or somekind of uncomfortable feeling above my knee. The "pain" is not in the knee itself, but maybe in muscle above it? When I'm laying in bed or sitting it feels the same way. It doesn't hurt, but its just a little bit uncomfortable. Its kinda like a feeling of someone is squeezing a muscle just above my knee.
Should I be worried and go to a doctor or is this normal, when you havnt done any exercise for 8 years and just started? I'm 22 and male btw.

Why am I not fitter and thinner? I started running/walking spring 2007. June that year I did my first 5k in 36 mins. Carried on walking 9 odd miles a week and running 5-8 per week or going on the elliptical trainer an hour or two a week through the summer.
