I'm returning to work from maternity leave, and my daily 2 hours in the car is the only time I'm guaranteed to myself. Help me make it the best time possible with podcasts! I'm looking specifically for podcasts on: yoga, running, cooking (bonus points for vegetarian or vegan), music, and history. [more inside]
This is my perfect running album (especially the first track) but I don't want to get tired of it. Please help me give my runs some variety! [more inside]
I'm putting together a Spotify playlist for running (working my way up to 5K), which so far includes Hallogallo by Neu! and Jenny Ondioline by Stereolab, and some songs by Fujiya and Miyagi. What I like about them is the driving, repetitive, steady motorik beat (or a beat that, if not technically motorik, gives the same feeling). I'd love to get more recommendations for other songs that would go on such a playlist.
Returning to running after taking a few months off, and need some new music. Can you recommend some songs not necessarily about running, but include lyrics about physically moving forward? Legs, feet moving and the like? [more inside]
I am completely obsessed with the album Sweet Disarray by Dan Croll. It is an amazing outside-running album; rich, multilayered sound that is dreamy but not boring, upbeat enough to keep me going, but contemplative. (The link has clips from multiple tracks.) What similar albums do you recommend? [more inside]
Azwaw by Cheb Mami for some reason has exactly the perfect rhythm for running. However, if I listened to it for the whole 3 miles or whatever, I would go insane. I mean, it's a nice enough song, but. [more inside]

We need a new Official 5K Theme Song for 2013. We are two adults and a bunch of other people's teens who go to 5K races on the weekends. The first race of the season is upon us tomorrow, and we need the song that will get us up and moving and ready to run. But not just any running song. Special snowflake details inside. [more inside]

What headphones should I buy for running and the gym? Wish list: Sounds better, and doesn't fall out as easily as the Apple earbuds; lets more ambient sound through than those in-ear headphones with silicone tips; includes an inline microphone and controls that actually work with an Android phone. I've been running a lot these days and I'm running out of ideas for my music playlist. What do you guys listen to when you run? Need ideas and inspiration. Thanks!
What's the name of that song that you play on your running playlist that makes you push yourself further? You know the one - you're jogging at a decent, steady pace and then it comes on and mentally you go "Oh, YES!" and suddenly everything seems to get a lot more awesome and you are running full pelt with a huge grin on your face. I recall seeing a music video with a computer animated smiling man running at a constant pace to the music. That was it. He encounters other people along the way, but he keeps on running, smiling. It would have been made no later than the summer of 2002. What was it?

Recommend me some music to run to. My current favorite album to run to is Justin Timberlake's FutureSex/LoveSongs: it's pretty good musically, a little cocky in the lyrics, and is paced perfectly, leading me to run between 8:15 and 8:45 miles. I'd appreciate any suggestions to provide variety, saving me from the embarrassment of having JT as my top artist on last.fm. [more inside]
