For a few days every week, I am a mover, and I spent about 12 hours lifting boxes and running up and down stairs. How do I translate these extended workouts into some muscle growth?

I've got a problem fitting in working, exercising and sleeping. Some activities are in the evening, and I eat after, then I can't sleep.

I've gained a lot of fitness over the last few months. I want to take that fitness and do something useful- I want to do something that's fun and will make me want to work out more, but also have it be a bit of a workout itself. Help!

I'm want to cut back on my weight training, but I'm not sure how best to do it. Is there a good once-a-week casual approach to weight lifting?

How do I best combine running and leg lifts like squats?
In an effort to increase muscle mass, I've started doing a whole body routine at the gym 3 times a week (I used to do chest/back, arms/shoulders, legs). I like the new routine, but it also means I'm squatting 3 times a week and my legs are SORE after squatting (like wobbling up the stairs sore). I'm also still trying to run on off days but it's especially hard even days after hard leg workouts. How do you all combine lifting and running regimens? Does leg soreness from squats get any better with time?
