Best training app for runner who needs to take it slooooooooow?

So, I want to get back into regular running after a gap of a couple years. But I have mild atrial fibrillation, which means I'm pretty intolerant of high-intensity exercise and can't push myself hard while building up fitness. Help me find a training app that will let me go at my own pace. [more inside]

Recommendation for women's reflective running jacket

I'm trying to find a reflective women's running jacket-- not the kind with tiny little reflective strips at the zipper and seams, but the full-on blazing reflective jacket that lights up your entire torso when light hits you. It's getting dark early now and I don't like running at night/early morning with my current puny reflective-seam jacket. It's also very rainy (Pacific Northwest) so I'd like to avoid the boxy reflective-strip vests in favor of a jacket. [more inside]

Strange symptoms after longer runs

I love long runs and would love to be able to go for longer ones. However, 8+ mile runs, while I feel great while doing them and immediately afterward, cause some unpleasant physical symptoms several hours after I do them: muscle cramps and aches (all over my body - not just in my legs), a sense of nervous tension, and very shallow sleep. Trying to track my runs in the most minimal, future-proof way possible

My father's runs daily and his right knee's meniscus has been making sou

My father is 50 years old, 5'11 (1m82) and weighs 165 pounds (75kg). He used to run 7km everyday in our local park, maintaining a constant heart rate of 135 bpm. For half a year, his right meniscus (not totally sure) makes a friction sound nas he extends his leg. While extended, he can also make the knee cap move a little with his hand. He feels no pain from it. [more inside]
