My partner has a fondness for Captain Morgan Spiced Gold Rum. People sometimes just remember the brand name, not the type, and give him the dark rum as a present. As a result we have a stockpile of dark rum, which is a bit strongly flavoured for our taste. We drink it with Coke, but it's still molasses-y. What kind of mixed drink can you suggest to make the thick rum flavour less obvious? Cooking recipes which can use rum without tasting rummy also appreciated.

I stumbled on this
recipe, and while I don't really need to know how to make a Kraken and Kola, I DO need to own the glasses it is shown in.

I preserved a lot of cumquats in liquor. The liquor is nice, but the cumquats themselves too are sour and bitter to eat. Is there a recipe I could use them in? I'm thinking something like a fruitcake, but I don't know how to incorporate them.

I need help trying to figure out how many parts of these ingredients Barbancourt 4-year, Guava, Lychee, Lime, Orgeat, and Splash of Soda, do I need to make an amazing rum punch?
I took the ingredients from the menu of a restaurant I went to the other day.

Quick and easy question... anybody have any suggestions for places that serve Hot Buttered Rum somewhere in Seattle? Would prefer an in-city neighborhood or downtown.

I seem to remember a cartoon (might've been a Looney Tune, with Daffy perhaps?) from my youth in which a pirate song that ends up with "yo ho ho and a bottle of rum" was sung, but it ended instead with a conga-beat rhythm that went something like "yo ho ho and a bottle of" (and here's where the conga beat came in) "rum and apple cid-ER / rum and apple cid-ER / rum and apple cid-ER" (with the 'ER' being the beat). It's an obscure vague memory at the outreaches of my childhood, but that "rum and apple cid-ER" has become a real earworm for me the past few days. Any idea where this little comedy bit came from, and if it's on one of the online video services?

After having just spent a week in Kill Devil Hills on the outer banks, I have become infected with pirate fever! I thirst for a good pirate quality Rum.
I want the rot gut hopefully in a non fancy pants round bottle to swig out of next time I go to the beach.

What is your killer recipe for rum punch? Like they make in the Caribbean/Central America. Except that I am going to make it in suburban Boston and pretend that I am in the Caribbean.

4 or so years ago, Bacardi let people download poster size images of advertising online, and I used to print them out to be 5 feet tall by 4 feet wide. Where can I find bacardi (or alcohol related) images that can be printed into posters?
