Lately NPR podcasts such as Fresh Air, Wait, Wait..., and All Songs Considered have been acting wonky with multiple files of the same podcast, often incomplete, showing up in my podcatcher. I subscribe via Google Reader and dL files manually to my player, and have tried un- and then resubscribing to the feeds, but to no avail. Is it NPR's problem or an RSS issue on my end? I haven't been able to find any notices regarding service issues on the NPR sites.

I'm looking for an online system that allows us to set up a number that people can sms text to from their cell/mobile phones. It needs to work in the USA, and ideally also support RSS feeds of the messages as they come in - or some similar feed - so we can extract the received texts. Failing the live feed, we could make do with an Inbox system and periodically scrape or manually extract the messages out. Also being able to reply to the incoming messages is a bonus but not essential.

I'd like a Flash video player of my video podcast on the web site, and a high-quality (960x540 should work) video file in the podcast feed. Say that I will go travelling for one month without internet access. For my email that poses no problem. All incoming mails wait for me in gmail when I get back. Many of the feeds I follow have a lot of activity (such as the one for ask.mefi), so by the time I get a chance to look through them, there may be hundreds (thousands?) of items. If I'm not able to get through all of the items at a time, the next time I come back to the feed, I have to scroll through the items I did get to before I can reach the older items. Is there a way to "mark my place" in a feed and skip directly there, rather than having to scroll through all the already-read items? [more inside]

I switched to Leopard and decided to try out the RSS feed reader in Apple Mail... not quite working out for me. How can I go back to Google Reader? I've added an additional 40 feeds or so in that time period, and I can't even figure out how to *view* the RSS URL in Apple Mail. Can I export from Apple Mail? How can I view the RSS URL? Help! Thank you much.
I've been using FeedDigest to convert and embed an RSS feed into an HTML page, and love the simplicity of it and the ability to customize the look of the embedded results. I don't love, though, FeedDigest's slowness in updating the feed content, or that I'm relying on a third-party to middleman the content onto the page. Is something dead simple, be it code in the page, or on the server, a Flash app, etc., that I could replace FeedDigest with? [more inside]
I'm trying to create a Flash based video playlist widget that looks something like this. I would describe myself as an intermediate Flash user, pretty well-versed with action script and creating UIs. I don't like creating things from scratch though, and I'm looking for libraries that would help me parse an RSS feed in Flash and any example code of displaying video players within another swf file. Any help?

Very occasionally, I'd like to be able to pull a **single** post from one of my blogs into another. In other words, not just link to it, but actually have the post in Blog A show up as a post in Blog B, without having to re-type it and duplicate content. Does anyone know a way to do this? I don't want to scrape the entire feed for all posts in Blog A into Blog B. Thanks!
