I work in an educational environment, and we have a local media server set up to record lectures and then allow them to be watched/downloaded online via podcast-type RSS, but only a limited number can be stored before they're deleted. How can I go about setting up a mirror of this RSS feed that will allow me to store these recordings indefinitely? More details inside. [more inside]
Can anyone think of a way to hack in podcast XML from Youtube? [more inside]
I can't catch every local baseball game, so I really love the MLB.com recap videos. Is there any way I can get them in my RSS feed? [more inside]
I would like to take a given RSS feed (e.g. MetaFilter's feed), and create a derivative feed containing only the items with YouTube links in the content, with the destination URLs changed to the YouTube links (rather than the source of those links). Does something like this already exist? If not, what's the simplest way to create it? I can write code if necessary, but would rather not if there's an alternative. [more inside]
I'd like a Flash video player of my video podcast on the web site, and a high-quality (960x540 should work) video file in the podcast feed. I'm currently using WordPress and PodPress to manage the feed and video. But I can see why some people who don't want to install QuickTime might not be able to see the show. [more inside]
I'm trying to create a Flash based video playlist widget that looks something like this. I would describe myself as an intermediate Flash user, pretty well-versed with action script and creating UIs. I don't like creating things from scratch though, and I'm looking for libraries that would help me parse an RSS feed in Flash and any example code of displaying video players within another swf file. Any help?
Does any one know of an RSS feed of Video Podcasts ie the feed itself contains nothing but pointers to other feeds
