I'm looking for an Oct. 1st roommate share in Brooklyn, and so far I'm coming across shockingly few places listed on Craigslist. Is there another list I'm not aware of? I already put word out to my network.
-- I've lived in BK for six years (Crown Heights + Park Slope), and have never had trouble finding a place before.
--Budget is $1100 and under.
--Looking to stay for 6 months or longer
--I'm searching under "rooms & shares" AND "sublets & temporary"

So I am still looking for a place to live. This is so stressful and frustrating, and the worst part is I only have about three weeks before I must move out. I'm seriously not sure what else I can do right about now. [more inside]

Looking for an apartment share. There are limited options in my price range, so I need to maximize my appeal. What can I do to make myself sound like a good roommate in my intro emails and calls? [more inside]

My roommate's girlfriend moved into our three bedroom apartment and we're about to re-sign the lease. I think we should take the new person into account and re-distribute the rent to accommodate for a fourth roommate, but what is the most fair way to do this? [more inside]

Doing my first house/apartment room hunting experience out of college and sort of unclear on the craigslist etiquette AND if I should even be looking. Would really appreciate input and advice. This is really long because I ramble...but I SWEAR it's good! [more inside]

I'm renting an apartment in Somerville, MA. My landlord has given me permission to have a roommate. He seems, however, resistant to the idea of putting said potential roommate on the lease (I suppose it's more work for him..?). How should I approach renting out a room in my place? [more inside]

Roommate-filter: I've been in the same apartment (without a lease) in NYC for 9 years. It's time for a new roommate. What can I do to protect myself from psychos and other difficult roommate situations? [more inside]
