A few years ago my girlfriend and I were in a bar and heard a song -a late-'60s/early '70s blooze-rock number a la Bad Company or someone like that - which ended with a seemingly endless refrain comprised of the lead singer repeating "I'm getting closer to my woman." It's turned into an in-joke with us, and I'd like to put it on a mix for her, but endless Googling hasn't turned it up. Anyone have any idea what song it might be?

I don't typically listen to classic rock, but I'm SURE they're out there.. what are some big, stupid, loud rock songs about space? I don't mean spacey sounding, I mean.. Deep Purple "Space Truckin," Monster Magnet "Space Lord." More, please. [more inside]

Where can I find a digital copy of Bobby Loveless' 'Night Owl'? It's an old rock and roll tune (late fifties - early sixties) which was hugely popular in Louisiana (and throughout the Delta region). I have been looking for it on behalf of my father-in-law, who is a huge fan of this era's music? It's pretty obscure, I acknowledge.

Is there a website or forum where users compile and trade Garage band files of sequenced classic rock? I have a musician friend who is looking for pre-recorded tracks of just the drum and bass for each song, so he can add vocals and lead.

Music video question: It's probably from the late '90s or early aughts, and it might be a Canadian band, rock-pop. I remember the lead singer might be named Dave, or have his band named after him in some way, but it's not Dave Matthews. It's just a video staged in a blue studio with text overlaid about current socio-economic and political crises in the world. Decoration is very sparse and involved things like ladders and amps; the blue tone to the video is overwhelming. Can you help me find this music video?

What are some good 70's and 80's songs suitable for playing in a pharmacy?
My father owns a family pharmacy and we have an iPod with nice 70's and 80's songs set to play for the customers. Can you tell me some that I can add to the playlist? Remember nice calm easy listening ones are best, and no dirty or bad songs about dying etc.. To get an idea of some of the songs I have here's a link
to the playlist so far.
Specific songs are great, but I will also take artists. Try not to give duplicates. If 10 people give 10 songs that's 100 new songs! Thanks!

What instrument is featured on 30 Rock? During the first season of the TV sitcom 30 Rock Liz's scenes are sometimes introduced with a few notes of wistful music, played with what sounds like a woodwind instrument. Usually solo. Can anyone identify the instrument?

I'm in a band in Los Angeles. How do we find a drummer who is competent and understands our music? I've been posting drummer wanted ads every 12 hours on craigslist, but no luck so far. We have recordings and we don't suck. Any general tips would be greatly appreciated...also if anyone knows a good drummer...

I've always thought of early rock and country as being populated by men who might have done very bad things if they hadn't done music, and I want to hear some songs that prove it. Dale Hawins' Susie Q
has that vibe. Charlie Feathers' That Certain Female
seems like a song Mr. Blonde
would bop to. I'd like to hear some other songs that feel just as... raw? Intimidating? I'm not quite sure. I think it's a "know it when I hear it" situation, and I'm hoping someone else has heard it and knows it.

Hopefully this won't be too obscure...
There was a pretty popular Japanese rock band that had a song which was basically a rocked out heavy metal version of Dies Irae from Verdi's requiem. I think the CD is from the early 90's or so. What's the name of the band?
(and no, it's not from the Battle Royale soundtrack. That was a purely orchestral version)
