I'm a huge fan of science fiction book cover art (especially the 50s through the 80s) and I like to use ideas from them to make posters for my band.
If you need examples:
this should explain what I'm looking for.
I'm wondering if there are existing resources for science fiction cover art or general science fiction art that mirrors this sort of style and substance? I especially need resources that are fair use, free to modify etc. etc.
We use these posters to advertise our shows at places which usually have a cover charge -- so I will need content that I can modify to use "commercially".

Identify this song please! I'm making a mixtape of songs with distinctive vocal flourishes and there's a snippet going through my head that I just can't place. This song's building to a crescendo and the singer yells "Whoo!" followed by three piano chords that sound almost like percussion (bum! bum! bum!) before continuing on.

I'm a drummer in an indie-rock band with a 5-piece kit who is looking to expand my setup to include a drum sampling pad. I want something that has unique percussion sounds (not just cheesy electronic beats), built-in effects, plenty of storage space to upload my own samples, and the ability to record and loop live drumbeats. Any advice?

Calling all indie music geeks... I need help identifying a band. iPhone update nuked all the downloaded music in my Rhapsody app. I was listening to a band that I liked a lot. Singer had sort of baritone, with interesting lyrics. Imagine a post-punk, slightly less-lackadaisical Leonard Cohen. Pretty sure record is relatively recent and band name has the word 'Future' in it. Any ideas?

Name that song! Instrumental. Very recent. Overheard on the radio and in stores/restaurants where they typically play indie/alt rock. Bouncy. Very strong bassline. Kinda reminds me of Air.

Help! What guitar-filled rock song has the lyrics "won't tell a soul" as the refrain, I think? It is a male singer - I couldn't tell if the song was old or new. My Goog-itsu is failing me.

A very general question looking for your tastes. I like basic rock with awesome guitar licks/riffs where I can understand what the singer is singing (or at least has something melodic). I am open to any suggestions for bands post 2000, if not recent. I don't know what subcategories there are but am game for your input.

I've been trying Pro Keyboard mode in Rock Band 3 and I'm really enjoying it, however I have no idea whether I'm putting the right fingers on the right keys! The training modes explain it a little but there's no guidance in the actual songs. Is there an online resource or book that will teach me the basics of this?

A non-chorus line mentions leaving a message for the wind, I think. And then the next line is something about the wind maybe passing on that message to some other aspect of nature? How's
that for specific? This is not "A Message to the Wind" by Gordon Lightfoot, by the way. I would guess it hails from the mid-seventies. In terms of "feeling," my vague-ass memory places it somewhere between Boston and Kansas, but that's obviously slippery footing.
