A see people use a harness to hold the camera to eliminate jerking, up and down sideways
Is there a way to get the same effect on a smaller budget? Or an inexpensive
harness for a rather smallish light weight camera.
Making special effects, like a robot walking around would add amusement to the deal.
I have a program called FxGuru on my phone, which can add some limited special effects
and I like that. But I would like just a little bit more control.

I'm trying to remember a book I read a long time ago in which a bitter supporting character complained about the fact that he was an ex-astronaut and he had a chip in his head and every moment of every day he received encouraging commentary from NASA engineers about whatever he happens to be doing. From memory the character might be homeless, or unemployed etc, and as the story progresses I think you just assume he's a little mad and the voices are imaginary.

Looking for an Internet video: Humanoid robot soldier patrolling a real, Third World city. It combined live action footage -- which looked like Somalia, Iraq, Yemen, etc -- with a digitally inserted, Terminator-like robot soldier patrolling the streets on foot. The robot appeared to be a motion-captured actor, from its level of fidelity. The project appeared to have a somewhat political slant about the eventual use of robots in combat.

After seeing the
Human Bird Wings video (
doesn't matter if it's real or not), I thought about
this TED Talk again. Are there any 3D programs/motion-capturing software that can map out that bird and its motion from the talk and convert a 3D model out of it? Then all you would have to do is scale it to human size and build it offline right?

We have a pool and we need a pool cleaner. The pool shop has recommended this
Pandora robotic cleaner. It costs a lot – A LOT – of money. And I can’t find any consumer reviews telling me if it’s worth the almost $2000 AUD. Does anyone have any experience with either this particular model, or the other models of robotic pool cleaners that are a step up from the
Kreepy Krawly or
Baracuda-style suction cleaners, but a step below a commercial pool cleaner?

I'm looking for stories (long or short) with self-aware robots or digital intelligences that are neither merciless killers of humanity/their makers nor effective slaves (created and forced to perform labor, either through laws or through programming). Ideally neither of those things would figure into their history, either. It'd be best if the constructed-people were the protagonists or main focus of the story, but this is not required.

I'm trying to find the name of or clips from an animated film that I saw on HBO or Showtime in the mid-1980s. It was about a robot who was looking for its mother. Some of the other robots said "One! One! One!" a lot. And there was a dumb joke in the middle: "Did you hear the one about the fire in the circus? The heat was intense!" Can anyone help?
