My wedding band is plain and made of yellow gold. My watch is stainless steel. I wear both on my left side. I haven't worn my watch since the wedding because I'm (perhaps unduly) bothered by the clash between the gold ring + silver watch.

I am an idiot and lost my wedding ring yesterday. I think I lost it raking leaves in our tiny yard. I have done a hand search and turned up nothing. Should I buy a metal detector?

I *love* this
aquamarine and diamond 14K ring, which is priced at $1850(USD). Not that I'm actually planning on buying it, but just for curiosity's sake, and possibly for practical use much further down the financial road, is this a competitive price, or could I hope to have one just like it made, or to find something similar, for less?

I am a man and I'm getting married! I need a lot of help picking out a wedding band. I know my size and am looking for a non-traditional ring. Specifically I am looking at tungsten and titanium rings or rings with some kind of pattern.

I'm in possession of an old engagement ring that was purchased in ~2002 and was, at the time, about $750 at one of those mall jewelry stores. It's less than a carat, but I'm not sure how much less. No paperwork. I'd forgotten I still had it until I found it in a box. Ex did not want it returned. What's the best way to get rid of it and get the most cash possible?

My wife gave me a ring 2-3 years ago (while we were still dating). It's made from a New York State quarter, and silver(?) plated. About 6 months ago it started to tarnish, and now the copper from the inside of the quarter has been revealed. It's beginning to turn my skin green! Can I just take this to any jewelry shop and they can fix it up? Can it simply be replated? [Alternate solution inside]

Calling all 'alternative' girls! I need some advice on how to propose to my girlfriend (I'm male). Expensive gifts don't impress her, and her tastes are more 'classic' than the norm. I love how she is, but my tastes are much more modern. I'd like to do (and offer) something unique and unforgettable but can't figure out what.

Ring! I want to buy my girlfriend a ring to celebrate a) the birth of our first daughter (soon!) b) her birthday. It's not an engagement ring (and shouldnt' be confused for one) and I have a certain budget. Cartier Trinity is the strongest candidate so far, but am not 100% sold.

What with v-day coming up I want to get my lover a present for her tragus. She currently has a ring piercing and a bar piercing for her tragus but I'd like to buy her a celtic-styled piercing. Could anyone point me towards a good online store for this type of thing? I'm UK based, near to Manchester, so any shop recommendations around this area would be good as well. Thank you!

Engagement is in the air... How can I tactfully let my future fiance know that I would be honored to receive his great- great grandmother's ring? -The catch? He was married very briefly (3months- she had an affair & left him) and gave it to his first wife as her engagement ring.

My mother is under the impression that a wedding ring (ie the band that you add in addition to the engagement ring) is the only way to "consummate the marriage in the eyes of God" ... where is she getting this from? I've never heard such a thing.

Let's say you want to marry someone, but they don't want a ring. This would be because the person doesn't ever wear rings, not wanting to draw attention to their hands (long story, just know that hand-oriented things are out).
What other options are there for a wedding token? Are there cool options from cultures that do not have the wedding ring as part of their history? Any non-hand-based suggestions are welcome.
