So my fiancé and I have already picked out our wedding rings and will be getting them (coincidently) exactly one year before our wedding. Our engagement party is the following night.
I want to surprise her with this ring box
Only problem is the company does not ship to Australia. What are my options and roughly how much would postage cost to Brisbane, Australia.

He's asking me what style of ring I'd like; it's just a promise/"love you" ring right now, but of course it's relevant for the "big one", we both know. Except I don't know what I like. Special snowflake: periodic months-long long-distance situation. [more inside]

I am a woman who has never, ever been into jewelry. I lose earrings, I tangle necklaces, I hate the way anything feels on my wrists. The only pieces of jewelry I treasure are a relatively inexpensive pair of earrings I wore at my wedding, and my wedding band and diamond engagement ring. I've been married for nearly two years now, and need some advice on the logistics of caring for my engagement ring. [more inside]

We are going to be in Paris next week, and want to go wedding ring shopping at a sort of vintage or antique jewellery store. I'm looking for a simple band for my tiny fingers. I'm looking for a nice band for under about $450, used is good. We don't want to go to the Wedding Ring Superstore or wherever. Do you know the perfect place to shop? Ideally, we walk in to a place with a lot of rings, I try on 6 of them, and BAM. job done. Thank you!

My office uses a RCWL210A
portable wireless chime as a door bell. The push-button part of the system is glued onto the wall next to the security keypad by the door. Sometimes, just entering the keycode to open the door will set off the chime, even though they are not connected at all and nobody pushed the actual doorbell button. Sometimes just raising your hand towards it to key in the code will set it off. What is going on, and how can I stop it doing that? [more inside]

I need help finding a ruby ring in a non-traditional but still engagement-ish setting. Ideally, the metal needs to be white-gold, unless you guys can recommend something sturdier/hypoallergenic that also has that silver-y color.
This previous AskMe
has been a great resource, only replace "sapphire" with "ruby." Even the budget is about right (but we can stretch it a bit higher if need be).
I'm totally fine with lab-created stones, but not okay with diamonds, because of ethical reasons. Help me out, please?

My engagement ring is from Blue Nile (online Canadian retailer). My partner saved a lot of money and I absolutely love it. Apparently, I'm supposed to get it "serviced" every 6 months; however, I do not want to send it back to Blue Nile for this. Who do I go to locally to get this done-- cleaning + checking that nothing is loose/has been damaged? Do local jewelers provide this service for rings that haven't been purchased from them? I received an engagement ring that used to be my grandmother's. Photo here
. I love this ring! I would keep it exactly like it is, but I'm a manual therapist and so I'm touching people all day - this ring is SO tall and scratchy. Right now I'm taking it off when I work, but I'd like to be able to wear it at work. How should I have it re-made? Please assume I know nothing about rings, weddings, or jewellery design. I'd like a distinctive but minimalist (i.e. no filigree) men's wedding ring, preferably in black metal. I absolutely
need the fit and metal to be of the "I completely forgot I have a ring on" variety. Keywords to help me Google are just as welcome as specific rings, stores (web/NYC), guides, etc. [more inside]

Wedding in 5 weeks. We still haven't figured out any of the script for our wedding. The officient sent us a handful of sample ceremonies, but none of them really feel like us. The "I ______ take thee _________ to be my wife/husband, for richer or poorer" etc vows we are totally stuck on, and frankly the ring exchange lines are also sticking us up too. Please help. The green always has such creative suggestions! Don't fail me now! [more inside]

Eastern-language experts: what does this ring
say? I don't know the language or even if I've got it right-side-up. I photographed the characters in order, picking one at random to start with. If it's written in Fake Words For Honkies and doesn't actually mean anything, that's fine; if it will summon a Nazgul, that's even better!

I was watching a movie a few weeks ago and saw a ring
that I need to have. My normally masterful googling skills have failed me. It doesn't have to be exactly the ring pictured (for example, the circle could be smaller, it could be gold-tone, the circle itself could instead be square or rectangular or octagonal) but I want that thing strapped to my finger ASAP.
I've searched etsy and this
is the closest I've found but the leather bit is too wide for my liking. I have contacted a couple sellers on etsy whose stores include leather-based accessories and inquired about commissioning my dream ring but I have received no replies as yet.
It's times like these that make me real sad that etsy alchemy doesn't exist anymore.

Losing weight (over 225 to under 210) and I'd like to lose more. I already feel my wedding ring is loose. I don't want to lose it. I don't want to get it adjusted at a jeweler.
1. I don't really trust our local jeweler.
2. Looking more for a reversible option.
The ideal answer would involve something like, "here's where you buy this great gadget that fits over your ring and it comes in various sizes.
Thanks for your time.
