How can I get iTunes to let me select an older backup to restore? [more inside]
On Friday, I used Sn0wbreeze to update my (jailbroken) iphone 3gs from 3.1.3 to 4.0. Everything went smoothly, and I restored all my previous apps and files. I synced the phone a few times that night to get all my settings the way I wanted. Today, I plugged in my phone to sync it, but now iTunes is showing the "Set Up Your Phone" screen, with the options of either setting it up as a new phone or restoring from a backup. What gives, and how do I make it quit? [more inside]
Did iTunes delete my backup file? If so, can I restore it or other wise get it back? [more inside]
I have a 4th Gen click wheel iPod. It still plays and charges. Today, I got the "restore" error message when hooking it up to my iMac/iTunes. I tried restoring it but it then gave me the msg "The iPod could not be restored. An unknown error occurred (1433)" and directed me to here. I tried the usual stuff recommended including: unplugging and replugging; trying new cord; holding menu and center button down for reboot; trying on other macs -- and still get the same msg. Although the technology is old, the iPod itself has hardly been used. Any suggestions? (Besides buying a new one.) Thanks for your input.
Restored my iPhone to factory settings (after backing it up) in an attempt to fix an app updating issue. Now I can't restore all my previous stuff because iTunes says "the backup session failed." Please help. [more inside]
